The Du Preez brothers continued to fly the South African flag high for the Sale Sharks in Premiership Rugby this weekend.
Daniel du Preez scored his first try of the season at the back of rumbling maul, while his brother Robert was again superb at flyhalf, assisting in a try while slotting two penalties and three conversions. The third brother, Jean-Luc, continued to show his versatility, starting at lock. Their contributions helped Sale to a comfortable 37-14 win over London Irish.
There were Springboks aplenty in the clash between Leicester Tigers and Harlequins, with the Tigers emerging 27-10 victors. Bok hardman Jasper Wiese continued his sublime form, making nine tackles, 15 carries and one steal in the 63 minutes he played. Former SA U20 star and Tigers captain, Hanro Liebenberg, led from the front, making 13 tackles and winning 10 lineouts.
For Harlequins, Bok centre Andre Esterhuizen and tighthead Wilco Louw both started.
Former SA U20 player Juarno Augustus deserves a mention for a fantastic solo try for Northampton Saints, who defeated the Newcastle Falcons 32-21. The No 8 enjoyed a barnstorming run down the touchline, bouncing off two defenders to score in the corner.
Over in France in the Top 14, Cheslin Kolbe starred on the wing for Toulon, who went down 32-5 to a resurgent La Rochelle. Raymond Rhule started at outside centre for La Rochelle.
World Cup winner Trevor Nyakane ran out for Racing 92, who lost 29-17 to a Boreax side featuring Madosh Tambwe.
Finally, Bok livewire Cobus Reinach came off the bench to play for Montpellier as they went down 33-26 to Lyon, marking their third consecutive loss.
