Werner Deyzel produced a composed and clinical performance over three rounds to win the Betway Big Easy Blu Label Unlimited Invitational #3, held at Ruimsig Country Club from 7–9 July 2026.
Deyzel finished the tournament on 14-under-par (202) to secure victory by two shots, capping off an impressive week of consistent golf on one of Gauteng’s premier layouts.
Cole Stevens claimed second place on 12-under-par (204), while amateur Jaco Anderson continued his outstanding form to finish third on 11-under-par (205). Keegan McLachlan placed fourth on 10-under-par (206), with Hannes Strooh rounding out the top five on 9-under-par (207).
The tournament attracted a highly competitive field featuring professionals and leading amateurs, with ideal winter playing conditions throughout the week.
Earlier in the event, amateurs Jaco Anderson and Luke Truter shared the first-round lead after sensational rounds of 64 (-8), while Indonesia’s Eric Wowor fired an impressive 65 (-7) to stay firmly in contention.
The event formed part of the Betway Big Easy Tour in partnership with the Blu Label Unlimited Tour, providing an important platform for developing golfers to compete against established professionals.
As part of the season’s incentive structure, the top five non-exempt finishers from the series qualify for Events 6 and 7 of the Betway Big Easy Tour, where they will compete for a R150 000 prize fund.
Hosted at the picturesque Ruimsig Country Club in Roodepoort, the championship was played over the club’s 18-hole, par-72 inland links-style course. Opened in 1986, the course was designed by Ron Kirby and Gary Player, featuring rolling terrain and undulating fairways that tested every aspect of the players’ games. Ruimsig also holds the distinction of being Gary Player’s first golf course design in Gauteng, with a course record of 62, set by Marc Karam.
Attention now turns to the next stop on the circuit as the Blu Label Unlimited Series 4 heads to Waterkloof Golf Club from 13–15 July 2026, where another exciting field will battle for valuable tour points and qualification opportunities.
