Nthabiseng Nini had a dream debut with the ball before Anneke Bosch bashed her way to a new career-best T20I high score as she helped South Africa Women record a comfortable six-wicket win over Zimbabwe Women in their contest at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Friday afternoon.
Nomvelo Sibanda, the Zimbabwe captain, won the toss and chose to bat first. Her side struggled to get a foothold in the contest and stumbled their way to 116.
South Africa showed their batting might as they charged to 117 runs in just 13.1 overs. The visitors lead the five-match series 1-0.

Bosch, who was in the middle for 13 overs, showed her versatility as she dominated Zimbabwe's bowlers for her 83 off 43 balls (11x4s, 3x6s).
This is her sixth T20I half-century and she faced 31 deliveries to reach the milestone. The 33-year-old shared a match-winning 68-run second-wicket partnership with Nondumiso Shangase (18).

Bosch's enterprising innings ended after she was trapped lbw by Nyasha Gwanzura while trying to execute a reverse sweep.
South Africa were in need of a single run to win when she was dismissed.

Earlier in the day, Nini put her new-ball bowling skills on display as she ran through Zimbabwe's top-order to ensure that the hosts did not get a solid start.
The 21-year-old returned figures of three wickets for 10 runs in two overs in her opening spell.

Eliz-Mari Marx complemented her efforts by giving nothing away from the other end.
Marx was rewarded for her discipline with the prized wicket of Sharne Meyers. The duo had Zimbabwe floundering on 20-4 after four overs.
Nini, who had a dream start to her international career, was the pick of the South African bowlers with three wickets for 17 runs in 3.3 overs.
Kayla Reyneke also claimed a trio of wickets, but conceded 29 runs in four overs.
Annerie Dercksen chipped in with two wickets for 15 runs in three overs, while Marx was the most economical with a single wicket for nine runs in three overs.
Modester Mupachikwa was the silver lining in Zimbabwe's uninspiring performance with the bat with a patient 36 from 43 balls.
The 29-year-old forged two important partnerships for the hosts, a 35-run fourth-wicket stand with Beloved Biza (13) and her 34-run sixth-wicket wicket partnership with Michelle Mavunga (21).
Mavunga swung hard for her 18-ball 21. The pair took advantage of South Africa's lapses in the field and ran well between the wickets.
Unfortunately, their effort could lift Zimbabwe to a competitive total.
The hosts will take valuable lessons from the contest and hope to come back for the second installment of the five-match series a better side.
South Africa, on the other hand, will be looking to extend their lead to 2-0.
