All eyes will be on the likes of Casric Stars, Hungry Lions, Cape Town City and Milford FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend, as the race for a Promotion playoff position reaches its final stage.
Kick-off is at 3pm CAT
CURRENT FORM
While Kruger United have already secured their spot in the Betway Premiership via automatic promotion, the hunt for second and third will head toward its concluding phase this weekend.
To begin with, the in-form Milford FC will face Hungry Lions away on Sunday afternoon. Consecutive wins over Black Leopards, The Bees and the University of Pretoria in their last three encounters saw them accumulate 53 three points in second place, two points adrift of Cape Town City.
The Citizens, who are in third position, will thus hope to build on their two-match winning streak when they take on Leicesterford City on away grounds on Sunday.
Following major wins over Gomora United and Baroka in their previous two league fixtures, City kept up with the pace set by Milford as they hope to fend off fourth-place Hungry Lions who are on the same number of points.
Casric Stars remain as the only other team in line for a place in the Promotion playoff zone, as they prepare to do battle against Gomora United on Sunday.
Casric recorded back-to-back wins against Baroka and Upington City last time out, a run of form that saw them trail the playoff positions by two points.
Overall, Casric accumulated 49 points so far, as they kicked into gear with three wins in their last five encounters.
