In probably the worst kept secret in years, it has been confirmed that Springbok winger S’bu Nkosi will be joining the Vodacom Bulls from 1 July.
Nkosi, who has fallen out of favour at the Sharks and hasn’t been seen for a number of months, will replace Madosh Tambwe at the Bulls when the latter leaves for France.
Nkosi’s contract comes to an end at the end of June, but because of injury and illness he hasn’t played for the Sharks for the past few months.
“Sbu Nkosi will start with us when Madosh goes to Europe,” Jake White said on Friday in announcing the team to face the Windhoek Draught Griquas on Saturday.
“When the season at the Sharks ends, he will move back up to Gauteng and he will join us on July 1.
“He can’t come and join us before the end of the season though. The only new guy coming before July is Ruan Vermaak, whose season in Japan has ended and he will be an extra forward for us,” White said.
Vermaak is just as highly rated and joined the Bulls after a successful stint in Japan. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Lions at 19.
