West Ham United – Sunderland (24 January 2026)
West Ham have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League home games against Sunderland, a 3–0 defeat in May 2011. They have won their last three home meetings with Sunderland by the same 1–0 scoreline. Sunderland are aiming to complete a Premier League double over West Ham for only the second time, last doing so in 2010–11 when the Hammers were relegated.
West Ham have lost just one of their last 21 Premier League home matches against promoted sides and are unbeaten in 12 such games since losing 2–1 to Brentford in October 2021. They ended a 10-match winless run by beating Spurs 2–1 but have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 19 league games, their second longest run after a 24 match streak in 2008.
Sunderland are looking for consecutive Premier League wins for the second time this season, having last achieved it against Wolves and Chelsea in October. They are winless in six away matches since beating Chelsea 2–1. Sunderland have won 16 points from losing positions this season, with only Aston Villa gaining more, marking their highest-ever tally as a promoted club since West Brom’s 27 in 2010–11.
West Ham have conceded a league high 12 headed goals this season, their most since conceding 15 in 2010–11. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet in all 17 Premier League games under Nuno Espírito Santo, with only three managers having longer streaks from the start of their tenure.
Crysencio Summerville has scored in his last two West Ham appearances after a 28-game drought, while Sunderland’s Granit Xhaka leads the league for line breaking passes leading to goals, with eight.
BURNLEY – TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (24 January 2026)
Burnley have lost six of their last seven Premier League meetings with Tottenham and each of the last four since winning 1–0 at home in February 2022. Spurs average 2.2 goals per match against Burnley, scoring 41 times in 19 games, a rate surpassed only against Hull.
Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 13 away matches against promoted sides since losing 3–1 at Leeds in 2021. However, they have lost four of their last eight matches against teams in the relegation zone, including a 2–1 defeat to West Ham. They have not lost back to back matches to bottom three clubs since 1997.
Burnley are winless in 13 Premier League games, their longest top flight streak since 1970. Tottenham have earned 67 per cent of their points away from home, the highest share in the league. They also lead the division in headed goals, goals from corners, and goals by defenders.
Spurs have taken just 235 shots this season, their lowest average on record. Burnley’s Marcus Edwards scored his first Premier League goal last time out, while Spurs’ Pedro Porro leads the league for passes into the box, open play crosses, and chances created among defenders.
FULHAM – BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (24 January 2026)
Fulham are unbeaten in all five of their Premier League home matches against Brighton after losing three straight in the Championship. Brighton have only one win in 11 Premier League meetings with Fulham, their lowest win rate against any opponent faced more than twice.
Brighton have won just two of their last 18 away matches against London clubs. Fulham’s defeat at Leeds ended a six match unbeaten run, although they have not gone two league matches without scoring since May 2024. Brighton have one win in their last nine league matches, a run that dropped them from fifth to 12th.
Brighton have avoided defeat in a league high eight matches after conceding first. Fulham have faced the third most high turnovers, while creating fewer high turnovers than any other team. Brighton have the fifth youngest starting XI on average, yet have given the second most starts to players aged 34 or older.
All five of Raúl Jiménez’s league goals this season have put Fulham ahead. Brighton centre back Jan Paul van Hecke has been involved in more goals than any other centre back this season, with five.
MANCHESTER CITY – WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (24 January 2026)
Manchester City have won 10 of their last 11 Premier League matches against Wolves. Wolves have just one win in 11 Premier League visits to the Etihad, losing the last five.
City are unbeaten in 30 league games against teams starting the day bottom of the table, winning 24. At home, they have won their last nine such fixtures by a combined score of 36–0. Despite losing only once in 10 matches, City are winless in their last four. Wolves, meanwhile, have doubled their points tally in their last four matches compared to the previous 22.
City have drawn their last two home matches, letting leads slip in both. Wolves have failed to score in more matches than any other side this season, but have kept two clean sheets in their last three. Erling Haaland has 10 goals in five league appearances against Wolves.
Antoine Semenyo has 14 goal involvements in his last 16 home matches across competitions. Wolves teenager Mateus Mané leads the team for goals, involvements, shots, and touches in the box since December.
BOURNEMOUTH – LIVERPOOL (24 January 2026)
Bournemouth have conceded 52 goals in 17 Premier League games against Liverpool, their joint highest total against any opponent. Liverpool have won 12 of their last 13 league meetings with Bournemouth.
Bournemouth have lost 10 of their last 11 matches against reigning champions, though they beat Man City last season. They have just one win in their last 13 matches, conceding more goals than any other team during that period.
Liverpool are unbeaten in 10 league matches but have drawn their last four. They have also drawn all four of their league games in 2026, something only Southampton (1995) and Tottenham (1999) have surpassed from the start of a year.
Liverpool matches have seen the second fewest first half goals in the league this season, but the most goals after halftime. Bournemouth’s Marcus Tavernier has equalled his best scoring season, while Florian Wirtz has contributed to goals in four of his last six matches.
BRENTFORD – NOTTINGHAM FOREST (25 January 2026)
Brentford have never lost consecutive home league matches to Nottingham Forest despite losing this fixture 2–0 last season. Forest are looking to complete the league double over Brentford for the third time.
Forest’s last two Premier League wins in London include a recent 2–1 win over West Ham, their first consecutive wins in the capital since 1997. Brentford have taken more home points than any team outside the top three and are unbeaten in seven at home.
Forest have failed to score in more matches than any other team this season, already exceeding their tallies for the previous two seasons. Brentford lead the league in goals from direct attacks. Igor Thiago’s 16 league goals are the most by a Brazilian in a Premier League season.
Sean Dyche has won four of his six Premier League meetings with Brentford. Morgan Gibbs White is aiming to become only the third Forest player to score in three straight away matches.
CRYSTAL PALACE – CHELSEA (25 January 2026)
Crystal Palace are winless in 16 matches against Chelsea, drawing the last three. Chelsea have failed to score in just one of 16 Premier League away matches at Selhurst Park.
Palace have kept only three clean sheets in their last 34 league games against Chelsea. They are currently on a seven-match winless run. Chelsea are looking for consecutive league wins for the first time since November.
Under Oliver Glasner, Palace have dropped 39 points from winning positions. Liam Rosenior won his first match as Chelsea manager; the last English manager to win his first two league games was Steven Gerrard in 2021.
Since 2022, only Arsenal have earned more derby points than Chelsea, while Palace have the fewest. Jean Philippe Mateta has scored six of Palace’s last seven home league goals.
NEWCASTLE UNITED – ASTON VILLA (25 January 2026)
Newcastle are unbeaten in their last 17 home league games against Villa, winning the last four by an aggregate of 13–1. Villa have taken four points from their last two matches against Newcastle.
Newcastle are unbeaten in eight home league matches and began 2026 with two home wins. Villa, after scoring in 10 straight matches earlier this season, are now goalless in their last two despite 33 attempts.
Newcastle have scored at least twice in each of their last eight home league matches. Villa have the second most away points this season, despite a negative away goal difference.
Eddie Howe has 12 wins against top three sides and is one victory away from matching Roy Hodgson’s total of 136 Premier League wins. Morgan Rogers has had 15 shots without scoring since Christmas.
Bruno Guimarães has been involved in nine home league goals this season, the most of any Newcastle player.
ARSENAL – MANCHESTER UNITED (25 January 2026)
Arsenal have won their last four Premier League home games against Man United, the longest such run against them by any club. United are winless in six matches against Arsenal and could set a new negative club record.
Arsenal are seeking their fifth Premier League double over United. Their last two league matches have finished 0–0, something only achieved 12 times in Premier League history.
Since Ruben Amorim’s departure, United lead the league for expected goals, shots, shots on target, and xG differential. Arsenal have not faced a shot on target in their last two matches and have prevented five such occurrences this season.
Mikel Arteta has an outstanding record against United with eight wins from 12 matches. Michael Carrick’s only Premier League win as United’s interim boss came against Arsenal in 2021.
Bruno Fernandes leads the league for chances created and assists. William Saliba has conceded just 90 goals across 118 league matches on the pitch, a defensive rate surpassed only by Tony Adams.
EVERTON – LEEDS UNITED (26 January 2026)
Everton have lost just once in their last 16 home league matches against Leeds. Leeds are targeting their first league double over the Toffees since 1991.
Everton have earned only seven points from their last seven home league matches, with most of their recent wins and clean sheets coming away. Leeds have been one of the best teams since MD14, scoring 17 times in nine matches.
Everton have kept more clean sheets since November than any other side despite facing one of the highest shot totals in the league. Leeds lead the Premier League for high pressures in 2026, with Brenden Aaronson, Dominic Calvert Lewin, and Ilia Gruev all ranking in the top five.
Only Burnley and Wolves have fewer away points than Leeds, and they have just one clean sheet in their last 22 away games. David Moyes has an excellent home record against Leeds.
