FULL-TIME: CARDIFF 22-42 SHARKS. The Sharks put on a clinic in the second half to secure a commanding 42-22 bonus-point win over Cardiff in Cardiff on Saturday night. There are lots of positives to take away from this game for the visitors.
This has been a masterful performance by the Sharks.
Cardiff will have to settle for a losing bonus point try here. They are just too far behind and time is not in their favour.

The hosts are throwing everything at the Sharks, but this also leads to unforced errors.
Try as they might, Cardiff just can't find the chink in the Sharks' armour.

TRY, SHARKS, VENTER. 22-33. The Sharks all but seal the victory with another try. Jaden Hendrikse collected a kick in-field from his brother Jordan and he freed up Venter for the try.

The error rate has climbed significantly in the last few minutes. It's untidy by both sides.
Cardiff secure possession in the front of the lineout, but they lose track of the touchline and it bundled out again.
Another look by the officials reveal that the Sharks lost the ball first. From the scrum, Cardiff clear their lines, but the Sharks counter from deep via Mapimpi.
Cardiff do well to steal the ball on the ground, but the ball is lost forward.
The Sharks forwards are bludgeoning the Cardiff defence in search of a fifth team try.
Lukhanyo Am is also on for the Sharks.
Both sides have emptied their bench now. Jaden Hendrikse is one of the Sharks' new players on the field.
The Sharks defence look shaky whenever Cardiff build multi-phase attacks.
TRY, CARDIFF, HAMER-WEBB. 22-28. Bowen makes several metres from a strong carry and they then spread the ball wide to Hamer-Webb, who dots down in the corner.
Cardiff a knocking on the door here. The Sharks are refusing to let them in.
Bowen is causing havoc for the Sharks defence. The pocket rocket outpaced the whole Sharks backline to almost complete his hat-trick. Replays now confirm that the ball brushed the line before Bowen got to it and it will thus be a 50/22 lineout for Cardiff.
It's open season at the breakdown as both sides eagerly contest the other's ball on the ground.
Mapimpi is involved in an off-the-ball scuffle. This battle is heating up in Cardiff.
Grant Williams takes a quick tap from a penalty and goes to the short side, but Mapimpi is caught in possession and Cardiff are first to the breakdown.
Juries runs through the heart of the Cardiff defence, but the Sharks' support play is not up to scratch, allowing Cardiff to track back and rearrange their defence. Cardiff knock the ball on through.
Lock Jason Jenkins disrupts Cardiff's ball to earn a scrum for the Sharks after the referee called a maul.
Hendrikse leaps high to gather the ball, but he his no-look offload doesn't go to hand.

TRY, SHARKS, MBONAMBI. 10-26. The Sharks come out flying in the second half. After contesting the kick-off, they recycle the ball and Mbonambi decides to carry the ball up and scores.
KICK-OFF: The Sharks get the second half underway and they immediately retain possession. Cardiff's kick-off receipts have been poor.
HALF-TIME: CARDIFF 10-21 SHARKS. Grant Williams does the sensible thing and boots the ball into touch to bring an end to an exciting half of action.

Cardiff are looking to a quick riposte. Their runners are accelerating through the tackles, but so far the Sharks are holding firm.

The Sharks are hitting their stride now. They are asking all sorts of questions of the Cardiff defence.

The Sharks edge ever closer to the tryline, but Cardiff simply walk over the ruck to affect a turnover.

Cardiff's aerial assault continues and the Sharks continue to fumble the ball in the air.
Four minutes in and the referee is finally called upon to blow his whistle. That was a frenetic opening passage of play. And the scrum penalty goes to the Sharks.
Cardiff try to play out from the back, but they can't breach the Sharks defence and now they go aerial. Masuku fields the ball, but he drops it cold. Scrum for Cardiff.
