FULL TIME, MUNSTER 17-10 LIONS. It's all over. Lots of errors made but a pulsating game nevertheless. The Lions manage a losing bonus point.
The Lions attack in waves but again the Munster defence holds strong. Just when it looks like they are making some good headway a huge tackle comes in that drives the Lions attacker back and brings about a turnover. Gavin Coombes surges downfield and the ball eventually out for a lineout.
Munster look to be through as Shay McCarthy breaks the line. But he spills the ball with the line beckoning and the Lions hack it clear downfield.
Another penalty for Munster who advance things down the field once again for another lineout.
Munster win a penalty as the Lions hold on to the ball in the tackle. Butler finds touch as they exit their half.
Into the last ten minutes now. Quality is still sadly lacking. Lions in possession now, looking for a way through the Munster defence which is vert well organized.
Frenetic passage of play. From the lineout the Lions maul. They are held just short but they go for the pick and drive routine. Over and over again they come, but they are a little static and cannot breach the Munster defence. There's an overlap though and as they swing it wide the last Munster defender gets a leg onto the pass and it is hacked ahead. Play switches from one end of the field to the other but still no try.
Penalty for the Lions who set up the lineout. Great attacking position, just 5m out.
Superb kick from Nohamba is just kept in play by Daly. But he is under big pressure from Kriel and as he scrambles the ball into touch it is a huge territory gain for the Lions.
Munster go through a period of sustained defence but they eventually win a penalty as the Lions fail to release the ball at the tackle. Nohamba is on for Wolhuter.
Once again the conversion is missed.
TRY, MUNSTER, RYAN, 17-10. From the scrum Munster go through the phases. Lots of pick and drive as they edge closer and closer. Daly is almost over in the corner but is just stopped short. Another few phases and over goes the big prop.
Van den Berg drops a sitter of a pass about 10 meters from his own line to concede a scrum. Not what the Lions needed after a sustained period of defence.
A lot of endeavor in midfield but not a huge amount of quality. The ball goes through a lot of phases. There are plenty of big tackles as well, mostly from the Lions, as play goes from left to right and back again. Not much forward progress though.
Conversion attempt is missed.
TRY, MUNSTER, DALY, 12-10. A number of phases for the Lions before they lose possession. Wolhuter is clanged trying to collect a high ball and is then out of action for the rest of the point as Munster run hard at the Lions. On as a sub Shane Daly scores with his first touch of the ball.
We are back under way at Thomond Park as Kade Wolhuter puts the ball into play.
HALF TIME, MUNSTER 7-10 LIONS. The half comes to an end with some more sloppy play. Wolhuter and Quan Horn colliding with each other as they look to field a kick ahead. The ball goes into touch and the referee blows for the break.
A lot of handling errors at the moment. 12 in total so far. It's clearly slippery out there but there are too many errors.
Lions are dominant at scrum time and they win another penalty. Again Wolhuter misses touch - another bad mistake.
PENALTY, LIONS, WOLHUTER, 7-10. Another nice run from van Wyk before Schoeman bashes it up. He wins a penalty for the Lions and Wolhuter slots it with ease.
CONVERSION, LIONS, WOLHUTER, 7-7. The Lions 10 adds the extra points.
TRY, LIONS, VAN WYK, 7-5. Sensational stepping from the Lions centre. The ball looks slippery and there have been a number of knocks, but when the ball lands in Van Wyk's hands he burst through the line with pace and steps left and right before bouncing the last defender to crash over.
Lions win the lineout and maul, but they cannot get it over the line and are stopped by Munster who win a scrum. That was a big opportunity lost.
Lions win the lineout and maul, but they cannot get it over the line and are stopped by Munster who win a scrum. That was a big opportunity lost.
Lions win a penalty in a great attacking position as Morne van den Berg sticks a great kick over the top. Abrahams is caught in possession and holds on. Lions set up a lineout...
CONVERSION, MUNSTER, BURNS. Billy Burns adds the extra couple from just to the left of the poles.
TRY, MUNSTER, ABRAHAMS, 5-0. The South African winger who has been prominent in the earlier phases of play crashes over with a couple of Lions tacklers on his back. Some nice stepping there.
With Munster seemingly going nowhere, Billy Burns spots some space behind the Lions back three and he nails his kick perfectly. It's into touch a metre away from the line.
Lions win another penalty after a deliberate knock on. Their effort to set up a lineout is poor as it misses touch and Mike Hayley return the ball with interest.
Lions win a penalty at the scrum and they exit their half and set up a lineout.
Plenty of effort... some big carries and powerful tackles but most of the action is between the 22s. Another long passage of play comes to an end with a knock in midfield by Munster. Scrum to the Lions.
It is pulsating stuff early on as both sides win turnovers at rucks. A breathless passage of play ends with a lineout as Wolhuter finds a good touch.
Lions under pressure at the back of the first scrum, but as they scramble to clear they win a penalty when the tackler fails to roll away. Lions clear their lines and set up a lineout.
Play is underway as Munster number 10 Billy Burns kicks off.
The players are out on the field and we are almost ready to go.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the game between Munster and the Lions live from Limerick. It has been a good day for the South African sides with the Sharks and the Bulls. The Stormers came close but it wasn't to be. Can the Lions make it three wins for South Africa? It won't be easy against Munster who have good home record, but coming into the game the men from Limerick are 12th on the table while the Lions, who have plated one fewer game are fifth.
