Full Time
FULL-TIME, SCARLETS 23-22 BULLS! What a match… both sides scrapped and powered and defended like Trojans. The red card near the end quite possibly cost the Bulls, but overall it was a tremendous scrap and possibly a draw would have been the fairest result… but the home side scratched out the advantage and picked up a vital win for them, while handing the Bulls their first loss of the season. A great night of rugby…we hope you enjoyed it and here's to a great sporting weekend ahead.
79’
Commentary
The Scarlets have the scrum near the left touchline… but the Bulls and penalised and the Scarlets punt the ball into touch, and that's the ballgame, folks!
77’
Commentary
The Scarlets keep kicking and the Bulls respond in kind… the third kick from the Bulls runs over the dead ball line… surely the Scarlets can't be beaten by 14 men from this position?
75’
Commentary
Scarlets win the scrum inside their 22 and kick into the Bulls' half and the visitors drive forward, then chip forward… and it's out for a Scarlets lineout just short of their 10m…
73’
Commentary
WIDE! Lloyd's conversion attempt from 5m in from the right touchline curls with the foot and slides wide of the far post. Tough kick but possibly a big miss. Just one point. Both goalkeepers' hearts will be racing.
72’

Try
TRY, SCARLETS, ROGERS! 23-22; WOW! WHAT A TRY! The ball was flicked wide to the touchline for Rogers, who dipped this way and they to slink past three Bulls before diving over for the try with another Bull grabbing onto him for all he was worth. What a scintillating try!
71’
Commentary
Scarlets keep pressing inside and along the Bulls's 5m line but they can't break through… they sling it wide to the wing…
70’
Commentary
The TMO calls it not clear so the onfield decision stands, and that's fair as he was standing right above the players as they Scarlets man crashed over. No clear view on the replays, so that's a fair decision.
70’
Commentary
The Scarlets keep pounding the line until eventually one of them drives over the line, but the onfield decision by the ref is no try - no clean press down. The TMO is investigating…
69’
Commentary
RED CARD, BULLS, GROBLER. That's controversial… there was head to head contact but both players ran into each other with no dipping and driving… but the ref and the TMO have studied this in depth so we must accept their call, harsh as it seems, with even the Welsh commentators agreeing he was perhaps unlucky.

RED CARD, BULLS, GROBLER. 67’
Commentary
SCARLETS STEAL THE BULLS' LINEOUT BALL, look to run at the Bulls… but they give away a penalty, wasting their superb possession… but the ref is chatting to the TMO…
66’
Commentary
The teams. exchange a couple more kicks, with the Scarlets finding a perfect kick that finds touch deep into the Bulls's 22.
64’
Commentary
It's a crunching match now, the forwards powering at each other as they push for every tiny advantage… and the Scarlets win a penalty which they kick upfield.
63’
Commentary
Bulls blown on the Scarlets' 22 and the hosts kick play up into the Bulls half.
60’
Commentary
The Bulls keep pressing forward until they are blown for a knock-on… the Bulls then demolish the Scarlets in the scrum, but the ball is fed out before the ref can blow to penalise the Bulls… they kick and the Bulls run back at them, running then rucking…
58’
Commentary
The teams trade kicks, but on the third kick the Scarlets call mark, find touch near the halfway line, but the Bulls take a quick throw and run the ball… but the Scarlets turn possession over… and then the Bulls do the same and then run the line, ruck, run…
57’
Commentary
The Scarlets win the scrum and clear the ball out of play just past their 22m line.
56’
Commentary
Bulls drive and drive at the Scarlets line… but then they are blown up 3m short of the Scarlets line. Huge relief for the home side.
54’
Commentary
Bulls drive forward and into the Scarlets 22… it's run right but they pile into the ruck… running then rucking…
52’
Penalty
PENALTY, SCARLETS, MACLEOD! 18-22; Penalty awarded in front of poles near the 10m, and the Scarlets wisely take the opportunity to keep whitling away at the Bulls' lead.
50’
Commentary
The rain has started lashing down now, so the players are cold, wet and tired. Concentration is going to be integral for the last half hour, with the side losing focus in danger of losing the match if they lose focus at the wrong moment.
48’
Penalty
PENALTY, BULLS, CHAMBERLAIN! 15-22; No problem from in front of poles.
47’
Commentary
The Bulls win a penalty in front of poles and 10m short of the Scarlets 22m.
44’
Commentary
The Bulls swarm back at the Scarlets and press at the tryline, but the Scarlets hold them up right on the line… and then win a drop kick clearance.
43’
Commentary
The conversion from 20m to the right of the poles is missed.
42’

Try
TRY, SCARLETS, MURRAY! 15-9; The Scarlets power forward into the Bulls half and crash over for a try. An incredible start to the second half.
41’

PENALTY, SCARLETS, MACLEOD! 10-19; Slotted beautifully from 15m in from the left touchline on the Bulls' 10m line.
39’
Commentary
Both sides share kicks back and forth until the Scarlets get the ball back in hand and drive past the Bulls 10m line, and they win a penalty… and they want the three points.
38’
Commentary
The ref holds play up to run the rule over both sides, asking them to scrum nicely. Bulls to feed the scrum.
37’
Commentary
The Bulls regain possession, drive forward and then kick deep into the Scarlets half… the teams trading kicks until the Bulls find touch at their 10m line.
35’

Commentary
Scarlets drive hard looking to get back into the game.
31’

Conversion
CONVERSION, BULLS, ARENDSE! 7-19; Arendse slots the conversion from the 20m to the right of the poles. Nice kick.
30’

Try
TRY, BULLS, MOODIE! 7-17; The TMO rules that there was no knock-on! Great effort from the Bulls.
29’
Commentary
The Bulls drive forward to the line, Moodie picks up a loose ball just short of the line and crashes over the line… but it looks like he might have dropped it… TMO will decide.
28’
Commentary
Bulls press hard at the 22m, breaking through…
27’
Commentary
Bulls retain possession and keep driving into the Scarlets half…
25’
Commentary
Good turnover by the Bulls who win a penalty and kick to touch just past the Scarlets half of the field… but the hosts snatch the lineout ball and run left then right… then there's a lofted ball, but the Bulls gain possession and run the ball…
24’
Commentary
Bulls penalised for too much movement in the scrum and the Scarlets kick play downfield.
23’
Commentary
The Scarlets hold the Bulls and earn a scrum 5m in front of their 22.
20’
Commentary
Scarlets kick high into the Bulls half, the Bulls run back at them and win a penalty short of their 10m, the ball is kicked into touch 5m short of the Scarlets 22.
19’
Commentary
Scarlets on the attack, pressing hard inside the Bulls 10m… they press high after the ball comes out of the maul, but they are blown for a knock-on just ahead of the Bulls' 22.
17’
Commentary
Chamberlain's conversion attempt from close to the right touchline curls towards the poles but just fails to slice through for two more points.
16’

Try
TRY, BULLS, BURGER! 7-12; Zak Burger picks the ball up from the base of the scrum, goes blind and the defence is asleep, and he slides over unchallenged. Superb thinking and excellent execution.
15’
Commentary
Josh Macleod is penalised for a tackle with the shoulder high… but no high degree of danger and not much force, so no yellow cards and no injury thankfully. Penalty Bulls and they kick it into the Scarlets 22 for a lineout…
15’
Commentary
The Bulls press upfield against the hosts, making good ground… but the TMO is checking something now…
13’

Conversion
CONVERSION, SCARLETS, LLOYD! 7-7; Slotted with ease from a couple of metres left of the Bulls poles. All's square here in Llanelli… not an easy thing to say at the best of times.
12’
Commentary
TRY, SCARLETS, MACLEOD! 5-7; Skipper Macleod is the man who powers over after some superb forward play by the Scarlets pack. The Bulls defence was good but the Scarlets where just too determined and too quick.
11’
Commentary
Bulls penalised inside the 5m almost in front of poles… they turn down three points and run the ball, pouring all over the Bulls……
10’
Commentary
GREAT PLAY! The Scarlets win the lineout ball, run it and break through the Bulls line, driving right to the 5m line and pressing, pressing, pressing, but the Bulls defence is holding tight…
9’
Commentary
Scarlets fight back, win a penalty and kick to the Bulls 22…
7’
Commentary
Some lovely running from the Scarlets taking on the Bulls backline without fear, but they are penalised just as they pour into the Bulls half. Relief for the Bulls.
6’
Commentary
Bulls driving forward again, getting into a good position, only to be penalised. Scarlets kick play upfield.
4’

Conversion
CONVERSION, BULLS, CHAMBERLAIN! 0-7; Smacked over from in front of the poles. Just the start you would want playing away in Wales.
3’

Try
TRY, BULLS, MOODIE! 0-5; Superb pressure from the Bulls and lovely play from Moodie, who touched the ball three times in that movement before slipping over for the try under the poles. What a start from the Bulls.
2’
Commentary
Lovely work by the Bulls to put the Scarlets under pressure, driving forward into their half and putting them under all sorts of pressure.

In match-ups, the Bulls have it 3-1 over the Scarlets, with an average points spread of 51-21 to the Bulls… so the Scarlets should be a little nervous coming into this match, unless they've done their home on the Bulls thoroughly, as well as doing plenty of overtime on their own play and strategy.
0’

They followed that with a 47-21 win over Ulster, running in seven tries in a superb team display. Their last match saw them beat the Ospreys 29-19 away from home to complete a hat-trick of wins.
