FULL TIME: BULLS 53-27 CONNACHT Jaco van der Walt gets the player of the match award for his efforts marshalling the Bulls and kicking goals. Connacht just couldn't match the physicality of the Bulls. The hosts were also efficient in attack against a well-organised defence.

Connacht attack with advantage and they have a penalty kick after the can't take it. However the referee turns it around after a chirp and that will end the game.

TRY, CONNACHT, HURLEY-LANGTON, 53-25: Hurley-Langton powers over for the score.

Connacht tap and go from another penalty and now that slim hope of four tries is fading fast.

Connacht need to score two tries to take anything from this match with the four try bonus point their only hope of some consolation. They have a lineout in the Bulls 22.

CONVERSION, BULLS, SMITH, 53-20: Smith converts his own try.

TRY, BULLS, SMITH, 51-20: Great finishing from Smith ends off a great passage of play from the Bulls started by a lineout steal.

Smith doesn't get the 50/22 but has pushed Connacht back towards their own 22 with the clock running down.

Connacht are throwing everything at the Bulls but a curious kick rolls into touch and the Bulls take their time setting the lineout.

CONVERSION, BULLS, VAN DER WALT, 46-20: Van der Walt converts and this game has to be beyond Connacht now.

TRY, BULLS, KRIEL, 44-20: Connacht desperately knock down the inside pass from Steenkamp but it bounces kindly for Kriel who dives on it to score.

Van Staden wins a penalty which has really seen the Connacht heads go down. If the Bulls score next this one is over.

The Bulls get away with a scrum collapse and it is reset.

Moodie's first touch isn't a great one as he gets man and ball and knocks on. Connacht have the scrum feed ten inside the Bulls half.

The Bulls settle for a goal-line dropout but Connacht are set to run it back at them.

CONVERSION, BULLS, VAN DER WALT, 39-20: Van der Walt converts the try.

TRY, BULLS, CARR, 37-20: Carr dives over the Bulls try at last. Oliver should be in the bin for a cynical infringement on the line but gets away with it.

Le Roux drops a neat 50/22 into touch o the bounce and the Bulls set up a maul from the lineout.

The referee gives another free kick for an early engagement from Connacht and that should be a penalty.

Carty's kick rolls dead after bouncing in space but rolling a little too far. The Bulls have a scrum feed just inside the Connacht half.

The Bulls seems to run out of ideas on attack and then Gans throws a pass in front of De Klerk.

Connacht spill the restart and the Bulls have an attacking feed to the scrum.

TRY, CONNACHT, MCELROY, 32-18: McElroy charges over from short range.

YELLOW CARD, BULLS, VAN DER MERWE, 32-13: This is a bizarre call from the officials as they rule that van der Merwe was off his feet and interfering with the Connacht scrumhalf.

Connacht lose the ball after 24 phases on attack and the Bulls run it out. Burger finishes off the try. However the TMO has spotted some foul play.

After the Bulls kick from the restart Connacht keep it in hand and run it up into the Bulls 22.

HALF TIME: BULLS 32-13 CONNACHT The Bulls have used their chances well to build a big first half lead and it is going to be tough for the visitors to fight back. This is Connacht's first match at altitude this season and they look leggy already. The Bulls need to guard against complacency as Connacht have shown they are a resilient and dangerous outfit.

CONVERSION, BULLS, VAN DER WALT, 32-13: Van der Walt kicks another conversion after the Bulls secure a bonus point with their fourth try.

TRY, BULLS, LE ROUX, 30-13: Le Roux is in for the score and the replays show that it was back off a Connacht hand before he cantered in.

Le Roux is over for the score but there had to be a knock on in the build up which the TMO will look at.

Connacht find a longer touch on the restart but the Bulls will look to attack from the lineout. They do but Le Roux's chip is marked in the Connacht 22.

CONVERSION, CONNACHT, CARTY, 25-13: Carty converts to cut that lead back to 12.

TRY, CONNACHT, KILGALLEN, 25-11: The Bulls are caught napping on the kick return and Kilgallen is set into the corner for a fine score.

CONVERSION, BULLS, VAN DER WALT, 25-6: Van der Walt slots the kick to take the Bulls out to a 19-point lead.

TRY, BULLS, NORTJE, 23-6: Burger goes through a hole and offloads to Nortje who is straight through a hole and over to score.

The Bulls get more change from their long kick offs as Connacht find another touch.

PENALTY, CONNACHT, CARTY, 18-6: Carty slots the kick to close the gap to 12 points.

Connacht have an easy three if they want it after a tackle off the ball and they call for the tee.

PENALTY, BULLS, VAN DER WALT, 18-3: Van der Walt slots the kick.

Connacht don't get momentum as they try to carry out of their own half but they are caught out and concede a penalty for holding on. Van der Walt calls for the tee.

Louw can't gather a tap pass from Le Roux and now Connacht have the scrum feed close to halfway inside their own half.

Connacht get a relieving penalty at the scrum but the kick to touch isn't terribly long. They get it at the lineout but a poor kick gives the Bulls the lineout feed on the Connacht 10.

The Bulls lose it on the ground in the Connacht 22 but the visitors need some running repairs before they can pack down.

A vital tackle on De Klerk prevents the Bulls from getting in again with Carr perhaps better served hanging on to the ball. Connacht have the lineout but lose it and the Bulls pour into the Connacht 22.

CONVERSION, BULLS, VAN DER WALT, 15-3: Van der Walt converts the try.

TRY, BULLS, LOUW, 13-3: Louw picks and goes and is unstoppable for the backpedalling defenders.

The Bulls get advantage for an offence at the scrum and try to attack but have their play disrupted and we come back for the kick. The angle isn't great and they go to the corner.

The scrum goes down and the Bulls get a free kick so they call for another scrum.

Reilly spills the ball off the top from his lock and he seemed to be caught off-guard by the delivery. The Bulls have an attacking scrum close to the 22.

Gans drills a kick off the ground into touch inside the Connacht half and the waterbreak is called. A few players are down including the Bulls hooker van der Merwe.

Burger kicks to touch after the restart and finds it just inside the Connacht half.

Van der Walt can't convert from out wide on the right.

TRY, BULLS, VAN DER MERWE, 8-3: Van der Merwe finishes off with a sparling little run in the trams that any winger would be proud of and the hooker dots down in the corner.

Carty misjudges his kick as he chases a 50/22 and puts it straight into touch giving the Bulls lineout ball on the Connacht ten.

PENALTY, BULLS, VAN DER WALT, 3-3: Van der Walt slots a penalty to level the scores.

Van Der Walt kicks another long restart and the clearance kick is out on the Connacht 22. Papier is taken out and the Bulls have a penalty and a call to make.

PENALTY, CONNACHT, CARTY, 0-3: Carty slots the penalty kick to give Connacht the lead.

The Bulls do well in defence but then lose their feet and give Connacht a penalty.

Reilly dinks a kick over and its touched by a Bulls player before going out on the Bulls 22. Connacht have another attacking lineout.

It has been a probing opening and Le Roux makes an unforced error with a forward pass just inside the Bulls half. Connacht have a scrum feed but must face a beefy Bulls pack.

De Klerk can't get onto a kick ahead before it goes into touch and Connacht secure the ball from the lineout and send the Bulls back with a long kick. Van der Walt just misses out on a 50/22. Connacht have the defensive lineout feed.

KICK-OFF: Van der Walt kicks off for the Bulls with a deep bomb that is taken by Forde who finds touch close to the ten metre line on Connacht's side of halfway. The Bulls have the lineout feed.
