The Stormers get the ball back but Gelant kicks a low kick straight into a Benetton player.

The Stormers collapse the maul and Benetton set up another lineout close to their line.

Benetton have the penalty and have to make a decision. They will kick to touch and look to finish this one off.

The Stormers throw waves of attack at Benetton but then a turnover sends them scampering back.

The Stormers will keep going to the lineout despite Dweba's struggles.

Dweba can't hit his jumper again and the Stormers blow another shot.

The Stormers get a kickable penalty and again they will go to the touchline.

Dweba can't find his jumper and Benetton hack it clear but will see it come back at them from halfway.

The Stormers kicking game hasn't been great and they keep turning to it to their detriment. The Stormers are lucky to escape their 22 after a turnover from Dweba.

The Stormers get blown up for hinging at the scrum and Benetton can set another attack from the lineout close to the Stormers 22.

The Stormers frustration grows as Dweba knocks on just inside the Benetton half.

CONVERSION, BENETTON, UMAGA, 20-17: Umaga slots the conversion.

TRY, BENETTON, IZEKOR, 18-17: Benetton finally find a way around the Stormers rush and Izekor canters in to score.

The scrum has to be reset but then the Stormers get the penalty at the scrum and bizarrely tap and go. They eventually kick clear and then infringe and Benetton can drive them right back towards the 22.

The Stormers put themselves under pressure from a lineout and Du Plessis scrambles it clear close to his own line. However, Benetton can't feed their lineout straight.

CONVERSION, STORMERS, DU PLESSIS, 13-17: Du Plessis delivers a pinpoint conversion this time.

TRY, STORMERS, SKOSAN, 13-15: Skosan goes flying in close to the corner as the Stormers hit back.

Roos gets a crucial penalty and the Stormers have another chance to attack.

Gelant tries a gamebreaking pass but it goes forward and Benetton have a scrum just inside the Stormers half.

The Stormers start the second half on the front foot but a poor kick ends their attack on the Benetton 22.

HALF TIME: BENETTON 13-10 STORMERS The Stormers have kicked a lot but not all of them have been great. Benetton have been the more accurate team in many facets. The Stormers do have a power edge up front which could tell in the second half.

DROP GOAL, BENETTON, SMITH, 13-10: Smith pulls out a phenomenal long range drop goal after the Stormers try to clear after a missed penalty from Albornoz.

Now the Stormers give up a cheap penalty that Albornoz could kick to goal.

Du Plessis cannot convert the try again and it stays level.

TRY, STORMERS, NTUBENI, 10-10: The Stormers maul over for the try.

The Stormers get a penalty almost straight off the kick off and they reject the shot again.

PENALTY, BENETTON, ALBORNOZ, 10-5: Albornoz slots the penalty kick.

Skosan is penalised for a late hit and Albornoz calls for the tee.

Du Plessis cannot convert the try.

TRY, STORMERS, GELANT, 7-5: Gelant is first to a loose ball after Loader and Odogwu went up for the hoist and the Stormers are on the board.

The Stormers turn down another kickable penalty goal as they setup an attacking lineout.

The Stormers are doing a lot of kicking and once again drive Benetton back to just outside their 22.

CONVERSION, BENETTON, ALBORNOZ, 7-0: Albornoz converts.

TRY, BENETTON, ZANON, 5-0: Zanon pounces on a grubber to score the first try of the match.

Benetton have the attacking scrum feed now after another error from the Stormers and carry into their opponents 22 for the first time.

Smith is down injured and the referee wants to review it. The injury was caused by contact with a teamates head though and Benetton restart with a scrum feed.

Benetton can only clear as far as their own 22 but then Dweba's lineout feed goes astray and Benetton have another scrum feed.

Benetton stop the Stormers maul inside their own five and get the scrum which they will need to clear quickly with the Stiormers dominant up front.

The Stormers reject a shot at goal to set up a lineout deep in the Benetton 22.

The Stormers would be in for a try but for a knock on by Zas in the buildup after a much better kick from Gelant. Benetton have a scrum on their own 22.

The Stormers pressure Benetton but Skosan knocked on in the tackle and Benetton will feed a scrum that straddles the halfway line.

Gelant now makes a poor clearance that will give Benetton a lineout feed on the Stormers ten.

The Stormers self-destruct again as they have two receivers at lineout and Evans pins them with a free kick.

Another speculative kick from the Stormers pushes Benetton pack to their five, they get up to claim the lineout though and find touch just outside their 22.

A poor kick from the Stormers goes unpunished as they have the scrum just inside the Benetton half after the Italians' feed at the lineout was not straight. The scrum goes down and referee Evans lectures the front rows.

The Stormers win the kicking battle as Mendy kicks to touch about fifteen metres inside the Benetton half. The Stormers have the lineout feed.

Benetton kick off and the Stormers kick but can't find touch and the hosts charge back into their half.

The Stormers have lost their only previous visit to this ground going down 22-18 in September 2021. John Dobson's men beat Benetton 38-22 when the Italian side visited the Cape last term.

The referee is Craig Evans of Wales who will be aided by local Italian assistant referees Federico Vedovelli and Alex Frasson while Evans' countryman Sean Brickell is the TMO.
