FULL TIME BULLS 63-14 SCARLETS
Hanekom gets the man of the match award in his first URC game for the Bulls. The Scarlets need a better setpiece to compete with South African teams. The Bulls look an imposing outfit on their own patch.
Scarlets shift play into the Bulls half with a penalty kick.
There is another scrum on the Scarlets 22 and the visitors will have to launch from deep if they want a bonus point.
The Bulls spill it in attack and it is going to take a while to set this scrum.
The Bulls get a penalty and put it out on the the Scarlets 22 and its a slow walk to the setpiece.
The Bulls get the scrum penalty and Goosen kicks up to halfway where the Bulls set a rolling maul from the lineout.
The Scarlets run out of steam on attack and knock on. The frustration shows for the visitors.
The Bulls restart goes straight out and there is a scrum on halfway. Scarlets get a penalty and could get a four try bonus point with this attack.

The Bulls just pile through down the short side and Simelane gets over after another big run from Louw.

Van der Merwe goes over as the Bulls forwards show off some slick skills.
Kriel tries a little grubber but ends up kicking it dead after the Bulls built an impressive attack off the back of a dominant scrum.
The Scarlets almost turn over a ball but then knock on and the Bulls have the scrum ten inside their own half.
CONVERSION, BULLS, GOOSEN, 49-14: Goosen converts for the seventh time.
TRY, BULLS, GANS, 47-14:
Gans finds a hole and is straight through to score untouched.
It takes a while to get the scrum set but the Bulls eventually get the go-forward ball they want and soon after get an advantage.
Rogers is down with cramp after winning a penalty in the breakdown. He gets up but the Scarlets lose their lineout and then knock on as the Bulls kick deep to drive them back into their half. The Bulls have scrum just about 12 metres inside the Scarlets half.

TRY, BULLS, GANS, 40-14:
The Bulls are so dangerous from set plays and Gans doesn't have much to do to get over for the score.
Lloyd has to make another clearing kick and as long as the Scarlets are backed into their own half the Bulls will be comfortable.
The Scarlets are being made to make a lot of tackles but are definitely better in defence in this second half. Goosen knocks on attempting a grubber. Scarlets have the scrum feed just outside their 22.

TRY, BULLS, KRIEL, 33-14:
Vermaak and Vorster burst through another hole and this time gets his offload away for Kriel to finish off.
Coetzee spills it in the carry close to the line and Lloyd can find touch but only gets it as far as the 22. However the Scarlets steal the lineout. A poor kick allows the Bulls to counterattack.
The Bulls can't use an advantage and they are taken back for a penalty kick which they pop out to set another lineout.
Hanekom gathers the restart for the Bulls and Papier kicks high but the Scarlets have it. Scarlets drive the Bulls back with a kick but Goosen takes the mark and then bombs a long 50/22 down into the Scarlets zone.
HALF TIME: BULLS 28-14 SCARLETS
The Bulls were dominant at first but the Scarlets hung in there to just about stay in the game. It could have become ugly for teh Welsh side but they have been composed. The Bulls might have become a little casual after a fast start.
CONVERSION, SCARLETS, LLOYD, 28-14:
Lloyd adds the afters and that changes the complexion of the first half.
TRY, SCARLETS, PLUMTREE, 28-12:
A neat lineout move sets Plumtree in for the score as he drags Goosen over the line with him.
The Scarlets have an attacking lineout and might be able to launch an attack.
Louw is just stopped from getting over for the try and the Bulls then lose it just a few metres from the Scarlets line. Lloyd clears up towards halfway.
An expansive attack from the Bulls ends with a forward pass as Kriel tries a reverse pass. The Bulls are then penalised but the kick doesn't go out. The Bulls win a penalty at the ruck just inside their own half and Goosen takes play back towards the Scarlets 22.
CONVERSION, SCARLETS, LLOYD, 28-7:
Lloyd converts with a great kick from out wide and that might lift the Scarlets.
TRY, SCARLETS, MCNICHOLL, 28-5:
Scarlets tap and go and create space out wide for McNicholl to finish off in the corner.
Hardy taps and goes but then throws a pass onto the Loftus turf and the Bulls get it back but then they knock on and the Scarlets have the scrum ten inside the Bulls half.

TRY, BULLS, GROBBELAAR, 26-0:
Jeepers creepers the Bulls are bringing the fire and intensity, huge defensive work drives the Scarlets back and then Grobbelaar powers in after a turnover.
The Scarlets get a breakdown penalty and go to the lineout but then they lose it on their own feed and the Bulls kick clear up towards their own 22. There will be a water break now in sweltering conditions in Pretoria today.
Scarlets threaten but Plumtree is tackled into touch and the Bulls have the lineout feed. The Bulls try to carry but lose it forward and the Scarlets have a scrum feed five out. They will want to get it out quickly.
Hanekom gets a bit over enthusiastic with a tackle and the penalty kick takes the Scarlets up to the Bulls 22. However, the lineout is overthrown and the Bulls kick clear but not out. Scarlets look for a 50/22 but don't get the bounce as it goes into touch just outside the Bulls 22.

Goosen converts the try after a brief TMO check.
TRY, BULLS, HANEKOM 19-0:
Hanekom bursts through a hole and he will score his second try.
The Bulls get a scrum penalty again and again they call for another scrum.
The scrum goes up and has to be reset according to the referee.
The Bulls call for a scrum on a penalty straight in front of the posts.
The first scrum goes down but we don't get a penalty despite the Scarlets dropping to their knees. The second scrum goes up but the Bulls play with advantage and look for a 50/22. A Scarlets player gets back but can't keep it in and the Bulls have an attacking lineout again.
The Scarlets try the maul as they get an attacking lineout after the Bulls get a little cute after the restart. However, they spill the ball in attack and the Bulls have a scrum inside their own 22.

TRY, BULLS, HANEKOM, 12-0:
Hanekom is in for a try on Bulls debut, he is set away by Grobbelaar who spotted a gap and pealed off the maul.
Hardy is left exposed after stripping the ball off a Bulls player and Grobbelaar upends him and pounces to jackal and win a penalty.
CONVERSION, BULLS, GOOSEN, 7-0:
Goosen converts the try and that's a great start for the Bulls.
TRY, BULLS, NORTJE, 5-0:
The Scarlets stop the maul but the Bulls catch them out as they hit it up and Nortje bashes over.
The Scarlets were all caught offside as the Bulls hit them hard and they struggle to retreat enough before the next attack. The Bulls kick to the touchline and set up a lineout.
KICK-OFF: The Bulls kick off deep and the Scarlets gather the exit isn't long or out and the Bulls can surge forward straight away.
