GREAT RUCKING by the Boks who turnover ball, run the line… it's out to Arendse and he grubbers forward for Le Roux to chase… but it JUST goes over the deadball line before he can reach it.

HALF-TIME, ENGLAND 12-6 SOUTH AFRICA. The first half has flown by and the Boks trail by six points, but they have passed over about 12 points with the boot by kicking for the line… so potentially it's an easy gap for the Boks to eat up with Pollard now on and the strategy turning towards chipping away at the poles. It's been a crunching match so far with the Boks make far too many errors… it should be easy for them to take England if they can cut out all those errors… but will England allow the Boks to spoil their game plan? We've got 40 minutes to find out who will take on New Zealand in the final… it's going to be a crunching second half, and we'll have it for you shortly.

The Boks have also won six of their last 10 Tests against England, although it must be added that England have won three of the last five Tests they have contested.

South Africa have won four of their last five World Cup matches against England, three of them being played at Stade de France.

South Africa's group was a lot tougher, including then world number one Ireland, Scotland, Tonga and Romania. South Africa won three of their matches, losing only to Ireland, and finished with a points spread of 151-34.

England finished top of their group, which included Argentina, Japan, Samoa and Chile. hey won all four of their matches, with a points spread of 150-39.

The two sides have played one another 46 times in Tests, with South Africa winning 28 and England 16. They have drawn twice.

South Africa are currently ranked number one in the world, after beating France in the World Cup quarter-final. South Africa have appeared in seven World Cups and were champions in 1995, 2007 and 2019.

England are currently ranked 5th in World Rugby rankings. They have appeared in every World Cup, winning the title in 2003.

Tonight's match is the fourth clash between the two fierce rivals in World Cup knock-out matches. South Africa have won all three previous knock-out games against England. In 1999 they won in the quarter-final, and they crushed England hearts twice in the final… in 2007 and in the last World Cup, in 2019.

It's been a pretty smooth ride for England into the semi-final, while South Africa had a really tough group, followed by a quarter-final against a firing French side.
