FULL TIME: BULLS 40-22 STORMERS
The Bulls were good value for this win. It might be a scoreline that flatters them but the Bulls will take a bonus point win to keep themselves in the top four mix. The Stormers probably deserved more but sloppy play cost them dearly.
The scrum takes some time to get set but the Stormers eventually knock it on and that's just indicative of their day.
The TMO needs to clear a potential knock on but Arendse is in to score. It won't count and the Stormers have an attacking scrum.
CONVERSION, BULLS, GOOSEN, 40-22:
Goosen converts again as the Bulls crowd goes into party mode.
TRY, BULLS, PAPIER, 38-22:
The ball bounces kindly for Papier and he shows a clean pair of heels to score a try that will kill this game off.
Williams does well to stay in-field but cannot link up with a teammate. The Stormers knock it back into their own in-goal. The Bulls have a scrum five out.
Le Roux nudges a kick into touch deep in the Stormers' half. The Stormers have the feed but will have to start from deep.
The Stormers butcher another lineout as Venter hesitates and baulks. The Bulls kick the free kick to touch close to halfway.
The Bulls are still under the pump and another penalty allows them to set up another attacking lineout.
The referee wants to check a goal-line scramble. The call is a knock on by the Stormers.
The Stormers get the scrum penalty and drill a kick long into the Bulls 22. They will have an attacking lineout and the chance to somehow make this a one-score game again.
An energetic Stormers exit eventually gets halted inside the Bulls half but only after a knock on. The Bulls have a scrum between the ten and halfway in their own half.
CONVERSION, STORMERS, LIBBOK, 33-22:
Libbok makes it an 11-point game with the conversion.
TRY, STORMERS, VENTER, 33-20:
Venter goes over at the tail of the maul which finally works for the Stormers.
After winning another penalty at the scrum, the Stormers go to the lineout.
The Stormers get a penalty in the Bulls 22 and call for a scrum scuh is the nature of their lineout struggles.
CONVERSION, BULLS, GOOSEN, 33-15:
Goosen slots the kick and that try should take the game away from the Stormers.
TRY, BULLS, MOODIE, 31-15:
Moodie is free and clear after getting onto Kriel's kick ahead.
The Stormers give up a cheap exit for a shoulder shot at the ruck close the the Bulls line.
Libbok drills a kick deep into the Bulls 22 after the Stormers turn down a shot at goal. The Stormers malfunction at the lineout again even with a different hooker on the park.
CONVERSION, BULLS, GOOSEN, 26-15:
Goosen converts the try.
TRY, BULLS, GROBBELAAR, 24-15:
The Bulls maul is unstoppable and Grobbelaar has his second try and the Bulls need one more try for the bonus point.
Another penalty leaves the Stormers defending a lineout deep in their 22.
YELLOW CARD, STORMERS, GELANT:
That's a tough call that's gone against Gelant.
The Bulls take control with an attacking lineout.
Goosen spills the ball under very little pressure after Arendse had done brilliantly to gather the ball in the air. The Stormers have a scrum but there is a TMO review for head contact.
The Stormers are stopped on attack and the Bulls counter-ruck ensures they will win the scrum just five out from their own line.
The Stormers go for the lineout again, turning down an almost sure three points.
The Stormers knock on within five but the Bulls clearance gives Gelant time to drop a 50/22 down into Bulls territory and the Stormers have another attacking opportunity.
The Stormers restart deep, while the Bulls gather their clearance kick is long but not out. The Stormers send it back and then win an early penalty. The Stormers set up a lineout inside the Bulls 22.
HALF TIME: BULLS 19-15 STORMERS
It seemed unlikely at points but there is a slender gap between these teams at the break. The Bulls could have closed this game out already but for crucial moments that went against them. The Stormers haven't been efficient but they have been resilient.
PENALTY, STORMERS, LIBBOK, 19-15:
Libbok narrows the gap with the kick.
The Stormers win the scrum time penalty and they want to take the shot at goal to close the gap.
Dweba's lineout feed is not straight and the Bulls get a let-off again with the Stormers setpiece malfunctioning.
The result of all that is a Stormers lineout just inside the Bulls half. They just about secure the ball and put up a hoist. The Bulls have to scramble back but do well and Goosen finds touch close to halfway.
The yellow card has been rescinded because of an earlier infringement. The Stormers have been handed a warning but also a penalty.
YELLOW CARD, STORMERS, VAN HEERDEN:
The Bulls burst forward on attack and the Stormers infringe and this will be trouble.
CONVERSION, STORMERS, LIBBOK, 19-12:
Libbok converts the try to close the gap to seven.
TRY, STORMERS, ROOS, 19-10:
Roos holds it at lineout time. The referee is happy with the grounding and the Stormers have the try.
YELLOW CARD, BULLS, GANS:
Gans will go to the bin for a deliberate knock on.
Libbok gets a telling off for chatting to the referee but the Stormers have the penalty in the Bulls 22.
The Stormers rumble towards the line but lose the ball forward and the Bulls thump a long kick clear upfield. Gelant gets back and kicks to touch ten inside the Bulls half.
The Stormers turn down a shot at goal to set up a lineout inside the Bulls 22.
A neckroll from Janrties costs the Stormers attacking possession but the penalty kick misses touch and a kicking battle is on.
The Bull steal the lineout and clear but Gelant brings it right back at them as the kick doesn't go out.
The Stormers finally catch a break as the Bulls knock on and then hang on afterwards. LIbbok kicks the Stormers up into the Bulls 22.
PENALTY, BULLS, GOOSEN, 19-5:
The scrum goes down and Goosen will have another shot at gaol as the Bulls have the penalty.
The restart goes straight out and the Bulls have the first scrum of the match on the centre spot. The scrum goes up and has to be reset.
PENALTY, BULLS, GOOSEN, 16-5:
Goosen slots the kick after the Stormers give away a soft penalty in easy range.
Gelant gets his clearance in close to halfway with a simple exit that should please Stormers coach John Dobson.
Libbok pushes the kick and the Bulls still have an eight-point cushion but that should be a wake up call to the hosts.
TRY, STORMER, LOADER, 13-5:
Loader gets over in the corner eventually after a great kick return by the Stormers. The kick was down the middle but the Stormers read it and found the holes.
PENALTY, BULLS, GOOSEN, 13-0:
Goosen slots another penalty to punish the Stormers.
A poor kick from Jantjies wastes the attacking potential for the Stormers made by a strong run from Zas. The Bulls have the lineout and win it and earn an advantage.
PENALTY, BULLS, GOOSEN, 10-0:
Goosen slots this one to make it 10-0 to the Bulls.
Goosen will have another crack at the posts from a little bit closer after a high tackle from Dayimani on Grobbelaar of the Bulls.
The Stormers don't retreat properly and the Bulls call for the tee from the penalty. It's a long kick and Goosen pulls it.
Moodie gets onto a Libbok kick and charges it down. The Stormers have the lineout inside their own half.
The Bulls get a huge let-off as the Stormers have a turnover penalty turned around. They send up an enormous hoist.
CONVERSION, BULLS, GOOSEN, 7-0:
Goosen slots the kick.
TRY, BULLS, GROBBELAAR, 5-0:
The Bulls pile into a maul and it won't be stopped.
KICK OFF: Goosen sends up a tricky kick off and Willemse carries well but the Stormers lose it and then strip it back.
We are not yet ready for kick off but will soon be underway.
Kick off has been delayed by an electrical storm in the area of the stadium. The new kick-off time in 18:00 local time (20:00 GMT).
