Silly mistakes by Uruguay as they give away an offside penalty. Relief for them as Allan cannot find touch. Uruguay run the ball before a poor pass flies into touch near their 10 metre line. It's just not working!

Uruguay with some rare second half possession now and they make good ground before the scrumhalf is in need of attention. He ran into another player.

TRY, ITALY, BREX! 33-17: After a few resets at the scrum the penalty goes to Italy. They opt for another scrum. Italy make their way to within five of the line and they are looking dangerous now. Out of nowehere Juan Ignacio Brex is into a gap to score! It's too easy now.

TRY, ITALY, IOANE! 19-17: A pick up at the back of the scrum for Uruguay. They go wide before Etcheverry's kick is CHARGED-DOWN! Ioane storms into a gap and Italy reach the 22. Allan with a flat ball to his forwards before the ball finds Ioane, who SCORES!

Lots of kicking to start the half from both teams and eventually Itally start putting the phases together. Italy secure a penalty at the breakdown near halfway. The TMO is involved regarding a shoulder charge by Andres Vilaseca. As a result Andres Vilaseca is sin-binned!

HALF-TIME: ITALY 7-17 URUGUAY. The surprise leaders at the break are Uruguay thanks to two Itallians being sin-binned. The Italians need to get their act together and will surely get a talking to from their coach. Uruguay are playing with all that they have.

TRY, URUGUAY, FREITAS! 7-12: Uruguay drive but are then forced to go wide. They string the phases together before coming close on three occasions. Eventually they go wide again and Nicolas Freitas is OVER in the corner after a superb offload from Felipe Etcheverry !
Italy concede a high-tackle penalty and they are warned again. Uruguay go for the corner and have two minutes left before one Italian returns.

Italy make good ground with their 13 men and they reach the Uruguay 10 metre line before securing an offside penalty. The TMO is involved again and the penalty is overturned due to foul play by Federico Zani. Italy need to calm down.
Italy secure a line-out under pressure and keep it tight. It's a counter-ruck by Uruguay and they turn it over! They were looking dangerous with numbers in their favour before the ball is spilled.
They go for the corner and secure the line-out. They celebrate after crossing the line but the referee says HELD UP! The TMO agrees! However Danilo Fischetti is sin-binned for pulling the maul down TWICE in the build-up. Italy are down to 13 men.
Etcheverry steals a lose ball and storms into a gap. He is reeled in five metres from the line and the ball is recycled. They drive further forward and after 12 phases Uruguay have a penalty. Canonne is also sin-binned for Italy after handling the ball on the ground.

The TMO is involved again to check for foul play. A Uruguayan player comes away from the breakdown but they are all happy that it was a low degree of danger and Uruguay earn a penalty as a result of the head injury. The go for the corner.
TRY, ITALY, PANI! 7-0: After a few resets at the scrum Italy come away with it and they appear to have scored. The referee says NO TRY but the TMO says there waws a clear grounding and Lorenzo Pani SCORES! The conversion is OVER!

None of these team's have ever made it to the next round at the World Cup and Italy will have to get the better of the All Blacks on the 29th of September if they want to reach the knock-out stages this time around.
In their last game Italy beat Namibia 52-8 to earn their first points of the tournament.
Uruguay are fourth on the table with no points but they did give a good account of themselves in their opening game against the hosts France, despite going down 27-12.
Italy are currently third on the table with five points but having played a game less than the All Blacks, who have the same number of points in second position.
