FULL TIME: SOUTH AFRICA 24-25 IRELAND
Ireland stun the crowd and the Springboks with that late drop goal. What a way to win it and tie up the series. South Africa will lament their failure to close out the game.
DROP GOAL, IRELAND, FRAWLEY, 24-25:
Frawley shows nerve of steel to slot the drop goal with the clock in the red.
South Africa knock on at the lineout and Ireland have another chance to get back up to score again. They have a scrum just outside their 22.
Frawley looks to unleash Ireland with a cross kick but it drifts into touch on the full and South Africa have a lineout close to the Ireland 22.
Ireland throw a poor pass straight into touch and South Africa have the lineout feed just inside their own half.
Ireland switch play into the South African half with a penalty kick and will set a lineout just outside the 22 of the Springboks.
Kolbe is tackled into touch on the Ireland 22 as South Africa send it wide after a scrum. Ireland will have the lineout feed when the match restarts.
DROP GOAL, IRELAND, FRAWLEY, 24-22:
Ireland snap the drop goal and they are back within two points heading into the last ten minutes.
Ireland are held up over the line and the Springboks have the goal-line dropout but South Africa have been vulnerable from these.
Feinberg-Mngomezulu makes a crucial error as he kicks straight into touch and Ireland miss the lineout but then win a penalty which allows them to set up another attacking lineout deep in the South Africa 22.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 24-19:
Pollard kicks the goal again and now South Africa lead by five.
The Irish scrum goes down and Pollard will call for the tee again. Ireland remonstrate with the referee but he feels they weren't taking the hit.
Ireland stop the Springbok maul and win a scrum on their own 22 following a 50/22 from Williams that flipped play back into the Irish half.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 21-19:
Pollard kicks the goal. South Africa lead again.
Ireland spill a hoist and then play the ball from an offside position and Pollard will have another shot at goal.
PENALTY, IRELAND, CROWLEY, 18-19:
Crowley puts Ireland back in front.
Smith goes over the top at ruck time and he might just have handed Ireland back the lead.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 18-16:
Pollard kicks the Springboks into the lead for the first time in the match.
Snyman offloads and Marx is in space but his support runners are all forwards and Ireland get back. Porter thinks he has won it but he is penalised for going beyond the ball.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 15-16:
Pollard brings South Africa within one point as he kicks his fifth goal.
Ryan is standing a foot offside and South Africa will get another penalty as Etzebeth loses the ball in contact.
Ireland pull off a textbook exit and find touch ten from halfway where the Springboks win a lineout and start another attack.
The Springboks are sparked into life by Feinberg-Mngomezulu and then he rolls a grubber into touch in the Ireland 22.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 12-16:
Pollard nails the penalty as well.
YELLOW CARD, IRELAND, DORIS:
Doris is sent to the sin bin for a dangerous clearout.
South Africa have another penalty straight in front and the TMO wants the referee to look at foul play.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 9-16:
Pollard brings the Springboks back to within seven points.
The Springboks look to attack with advantage but they cannot use it and they come back for the penalty and motion towards the posts.
The Springboks start with fire as they spark a counter, but they just cannot finish it off.
Ireland find a safe touch after the restart and then they steal the lineout and test the Springboks with a hoist.
HALF TIME: SOUTH AFRICA 6-16 IRELAND
Ireland have been the dominant team for the first half. South Africa wasted 22 entries which might have given them a better position at the halfway stage. South Africa haven't been able to use their setpiece dominance and haven't dealt well with Ireland's kicking game which has been cleverly executed.
PENALTY, IRELAND, CROWLEY, 6-16:
Crowley slots another penalty from straight in front to end the half.
Ireland have a scrum feed five out after Pollard slips gathering a kick and has to dot dead.
The restart goes into Ireland's in-goal and they dot it to earn a scrum on the centre spot.
PENALTY, IRELAND, CROWLEY, 6-13:
Ireland get an obstruction call and Crowley slots the kick for an easy three.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 6-10:
Pollard accepts the three after that attacking set and Ireland might feel like that is a moral victory.
South Africa have a lineout five out now after Ireland strip De Allende after tackle is called.
Ireland are hemmed into their own 22 but South Africa are plagued by errors and a lack of ideas on attack.
Ireland get lucky as Smith charges down a kick and almost gets to the line before losing the ball. Ireland then get a cheap penalty.
Pollard tries to put Kolbe away with a flat pass but the winger cannot hang on. Kolbe would have been in behind with a support runner as well.
South Africa get the scrum penalty and they can now set up a lineout and hope to build an attack from there.
The clearing kick from South Africa doesn't find touch and Ireland counter again. Ireland spill the ball as they almost steal it on the Springbok 22.
Ireland have South Africa under pressure on their 22 but a knock on releases that pressure just a bit. South Africa need to find a way to play the match in Ireland's half.
Ireland win a brief kicking battle as Crowley nearly kicks a 50/22 but its just short and the Springboks will feed a lineout just outside their own 22.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 3-10:
Pollard slots the penalty from straight in front 40 metres out.
South Africa win the scrum penalty as they are dominant this time and Pollard calls for the tee.
The Springboks get a little lucky as they get away with a sloppy breakdown as Ireland knock on trying to snatch the ball off the ground. South Africa have the scrum just about ten metres inside the Irish half.
CONVERSION, IRELAND, CROWLEY, 0-10:
Crowley adds the conversion.
TRY, IRELAND, MURRAY, 0-8:
Ireland score a textbook try from their playbook with neat passing setting up the key play. Murray gets over to score.
Crowley looks for space in behind but his effort goes straight out and the Springboks have the feed but then they overthrow Ireland put them under pressure and a poor kick gives Ireland a chance to counter.
Pollard's tester is too long and Ireland get the mark and make a good clearance up towards halfway.
Osborne takes Feinberg-Mngomezulu out in the air and the Springboks set up a lineout just inside the Ireland half.
Ireland go for a safe exit and the Springboks call a two-man lineout.
PENALTY, IRELAND, CROWLEY, 0-3:
Crowley slots the kick to give Ireland a lead.
Ireland get a cheap free kick and they take it quickly. Ireland then get a penalty as Etzebeth is ruled to be offside.
Etzebeth goes for an interception but cannot hang on and Ireland will have the scrum feed ten inside the South African half.
Le Roux has to go off for an HIA but it was not from foul play and Ireland will feed the lineout in a great attacking position.
KICK-OFF: Crowley kicks off for Ireland and sends it deep where Smith gathers and carries. De Klerk clears with a box kick but it give Ireland a chance to run at them. The Springboks force Ireland back in defence but then a contestable kick wins Ireland attacking ball and they kick ahead again with Pollard having to scramble the ball into touch just outside the Springbok 22.
