Scottish referee Hollie Davidson will become the first woman to officiate a French Top 14 game when she takes charge of Lyon's trip to Clermont on the weekend of April 18-19, the league announced on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old also made history in this year's men's Six Nations, becoming the first women to referee a game in the Championship when she was in the middle for Ireland's victory over Italy on February 14.
"A page in French rugby's history books is being written," the Top 14 said.
In 2025 she was named the World Rugby referee of the year and has already taken charge of games in the United Rugby Championship and the Challenge Cup, including last season's final.
