Keenly aware of the threat that Connacht bring this weekend to their Vodacom United Rugby Championship challenge at Ellis Park, the Fidelity Securedrive Lions have made a few adjustments to give themselves a few more hard hitters in the clash.
Ruan Venter moves to lock in the place of Etienne Oosthuizen to accommodate SA under-20 star Batho Hlekani in the starting line-up, underlining the Lions' desire to use their hard-hitting runners against the Connacht defence.
That means Venter, who made the most carries in the big win over Glasgow Warriors, will have an extra role while Hlekani packs down alongside impressive youngster Siba Mahashe and captain Francke Horn in the loose trio.
Hooker PJ Botha will reach his 100th cap in the match, a well-earned milestone for the former Monument star, while both Morne Brandon and Siba Qoma come back into the 23-man squad.
FIDELITY SECUREDRIVE LIONS: Quan Horn, Angelo Davids, Henco van Wyk, Richard Kriel, Erich Cronje; Chris Smith, Morne van den Berg; Francke Horn (capt), Batho Hlekani, Siba Mahashe, Darrien Landsberg, Ruan Venter, Asenathi Ntlabakanye, PJ Botha, SJ Kotze.
REPLACEMENTS: Morne Brandon, Eddie Davids, Sebastian Lombard, Reinhard Nothnagel, Siba Qoma, JC Pretorius, Nico Steyn, Kelly Mpeku.
