SuperSport rolls out the heavyweights for URC build-up

SuperSport will have not one but two build-up shows to the Vodacom United Rugby Championship final, taking place in Cape Town on Saturday evening (7.30pm kickoff).

On Friday (5.30pm), celebrated Springboks Schalk Burger, Victor Matfield, Hanyani Shimange and Joel Stransky will be joined by former Munster stalwart CJ Stander and Martin Anayi, the chief executive of the URC who will reflect on the remarkable season.

Saturday’s preamble, which begins at 6.30pm, will feature two groupings in separate positions. The first, to be hosted by Motshidisi Mohono, will feature Schalk Burger, Akona Ndungane and Nick Mallett.

The other, hosted by Stransky, will bring together the analytical minds of Gcobani Bobo and Matfield, who will also be involved in sideline commentary (with former Bok skipper Jean de Villiers).

The final will be broadcast on SuperSport Rugby and SS Grandstand.
