The Emirates Lions have made two changes for their third Vodacom United Rugby Championship match against Edinburgh on Friday night in the Scottish capital.
After winning back to back games away from home against the Ospreys and Cardiff, the Lions are hoping to take that momentum up against an Edinburgh side that ran the Bulls close at Loftus and were beaten by the Stormers in Cape Town.
But in both matches Edinburgh showed enough resolve to ensure they will be tough to beat at home and the Lions will have to be their best to pull off a third win on tour.
With that in mind, they have made one shift in the pack where Ruan Venter returns to the side of the scrum after playing lock in the opening game against the Bulls, replacing Emmanuel Tshituka.
At the back, an injury to Edwill van der Merwe means that Stean Pienaar gets his first start of the season and will be hoping to see some ball in space at Murrayfield.
Venter’s inclusion will give the Lions extra lineout options at the back, and his physical play will be closely watched as the Lions look to end their short tour on a high.
