The 10Bet Lions have unleashed their Springbok prop Boan Venter on defending Vodacom United Rugby Championship champions Leinster when the two sides meet on Saturday.
Venter, who was with the Springboks until recently and signed for the Lions from Edinburgh at the end of last season, will make his debut for the Joburg side as they look to avenge their quarterfinal loss to the Irish side.
Also interesting from the match day 23 are debuts for Zian Cilliers and SA under-20 juggernaut Ethan Adams, who will take the field for the first time for the side.
Venter will partner PJ Botha and Sebastiaan Lombard in the front row, while Etienne Oosthuizen and Ruan Delport complete a familiar tight five. The loose trio is where the Lions excel, with Siba Mahashe, Batho Hlekani and Francke Horne (captain) who will lead the assault.
Nico Steyn will partner Chris Smith behind the scrum after the departure of Haashim Pead, while Richard Kriel and Henco van Wyk form a familiar midfield. Erich Cronje and Kelly Mpeku are on the wings, with Boeta Chamberlain at fullback for the outing.
