Pitch Report: It's the best we could do

The Cape Town Stadium pitch has been a talking point for a long time now, but ahead of Saturday's Vodacom United Rugby Championship Grand final, perhaps the best person to speak to is the stadium CEO himself - Lesley de Reuck.

In the video above, De Reuck talks about the issues that they have had with the pitch over the past few years, the reason why it hasn't recovered quickly enough, and what the future holds.

He also revealed that the hybrid pitch that will be in place from next season is already on its way from Germany and should make it much better for play next year while acknowledging the issues that have made the pitch a talking point for fans and players in recent seasons.
