Portuguese veteran Joao Sousa defeated younger rival Emil Ruusuvuori of Finland to win the Pune ATP 250 title on Sunday.
The 32-year-old Sousa, ranked 137th, won 7-6 (11/9), 4-6, 6-1 in two hours and 43 minutes to bag his first ATP title since May 2018 and fourth overall.
Sousa dropped the second set to his 22-year-old, sixth-seeded rival but came back roaring in the third with an early break in the second game and there was no looking back.
India's only ATP tournament was played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic but a limited number of fans were allowed to enter the Balewadi Stadium from the quarterfinal stages.
