Ethiopia Coffee sign three Higher League stars

Ethiopia Coffee have made three new signings from the Higher League to bolster their team ahead of the 2024-25 Ethiopian Premier League season.

The Ethiopian Cup champions signed Okay Jul from Halaba City, Israel Shagole from Batu City and Dawit Shiferaw from Bishoftu City.

They each signed three-year contracts, with Okay Jul coming in as one of the outstanding players in the Higher League during this past season.

He provided astonishing performances in the defensive midfielder position throughout the season, which saw him selected in the Higher League best eleven of the season.

He already has Premier League experience with Legetafo Legedadi in the 2022-23 season, after spending two seasons at Gulele Kefle City.

The second signing is striker Israel Shagole, who came from Batu City.

He previously played for Arbaminch City and Negelle Arsi for two seasons each before landing at Batu.

The third new signing is the winger from Bishoftu City, Dawit Shiferaw. He spent a single season playing for Bishoftu City before securing this move. 

He played for Wolliso City and Guelele Kefle City before joining Bishoftu City.
