Swallows sign duo ahead of new season

Swallows FC have completed two new signings ahead of the 2020-21 Premier Soccer League season, including that of veteran midfielder Musa Nyatama.

The GladAfrica Championship winners are looking to bolster their squad as they return to the South African top-flight for the first time in five years.

Nyatama arrives having been released by Highlands Park last week, the club’s sale to TS Galaxy no doubt influencing the decision to part ways with the 33-year-old.

The experienced Nyatama has previously played for Thanda Royal Zulu, Maritzburg United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic and Orlando Pirates, who he left last season.

Swallows have also confirmed the arrival of highly-rated winger Moeketsi Makhanya, who had an excellent campaign with JDR Stars in the second-tier in 2019-20 and will now the opportunity to test himself in the elite league.

He netted 12 goals in 25 appearances for Stars in the league.
