Tennis South Africa (TSA) on Monday announced TRIO as the new sponsor for the prestigious national Junior Masters Championships.

The Junior Masters Championships, an event that showcases the best of South African juniors, will now receive support from TRIO, a retailer specialising in tennis equipment, apparel, and accessories. With a commitment to expanding its presence in tennis clubs nationwide, TRIO aims to give back to the tennis community and foster the growth of the sport.

The Junior Masters Championships features the top eight girls and boys in four age categories, including under-12, U14, U16, and U18. This highly anticipated event serves as a platform for young athletes to demonstrate their skills and compete for top honours.

Previously hosted at the University of Pretoria in Tshwane, the Junior Masters Championships will now have a new home in Cape Town.

Welgemoed Tennis Club and Edgemead Tennis Club will be the proud hosts of this esteemed tournament starting from 2023.

The picturesque locations and excellent facilities of these venues will provide an unforgettable experience for players, coaches, and spectators alike.

"We are thrilled to welcome TRIO as the partner for the Junior Masters Championships," said TSA President Gavin Crookes.

"Their commitment to supporting tennis clubs and promoting the sport aligns perfectly with our vision to cultivate a thriving tennis community. This partnership will undoubtedly elevate the Junior Masters Championships event and contribute to the overall development of junior tennis in South Africa."

The Junior Masters Championships will take place from 13 to 15 October , offering three days of intense competition and camaraderie among South Africa's most promising young tennis talents.
