Bergman to leave Stellenbosch FC

Stellenbosch FC have announced the release of defender Kristopher Bergman at the expiry of his contract on June 30.

The 32-year-old joined Stellenbosch from Ubuntu Cape Town ahead of the 2019-20 season and made 21 appearances at the Winelands Club in his first campaign.

However, he found game-time more difficult to come by in the past season with just two starts in the DStv Premiership and four appearances in all.

The right-back has also previously played for Santos, Cape Town All Stars and Chippa United, and has 98 DStv Premiership appearances, as well as eight in the various cup competitions.
