Great matches come and go, but there are certain moments that truly stand the test of time. The debut of Hell in a Cell changed the wrestling world forever and since its inception, it has earned the reputation of consistently being the most merciless event in WWE, and not coincidentally, a creator of many memorable moments.
The 13th instalment of the series will again bring more epic match-ups and like many who compete in the great Hell in a Cell matches, it won’t be the first that these Superstars will be meeting in the ring. This year’s event promises to be even better than ever and with just a few days out from showtime, here’s how the card looks right now:
Rhea Ripley (c) v Charlotte Flair (Raw women’s Championship)
The Nightmare is coming to WWE Hell in a Cell, and The Queen will be waiting. Rhea Ripley will look to secure a reign-defining win when she puts her Raw Women’s Title on the line against Charlotte Flair. Ripley secured WrestleMania glory with a hard-fought win over Asuka, but Flair was incensed to not be included in the Show of Shows’ festivities and has targeted Ripley ever since.
Bobby Lashley (c) v Drew McIntyre (WWE Championship)
Drew McIntyre will have one final opportunity to dethrone The All-Mighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley with this battle coming inside the unforgiving Hell in a Cell.
Bianca Belair (c) v Bayley (SmackDown women’s Championship)
Ever since Bianca Belair captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Sasha Banks at WrestleMania, Bayley has been laughing at the proud titleholder. Although Belair defeated The Role Model at WrestleMania Backlash, Bayley shrugged off that loss with claims that Belair had cheated by using her hair as a weapon.
Roman Reigns (c) v Rey Mysterio (Universal Championship)
As announced on WWE Talking Smack, the leaders of two of WWE’s most iconic families will go to battle when Roman Reigns meets Rey Mysterio for the Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell.
Alexa Bliss v Shayna Baszler
The twisted Alexa Bliss will surely have Lilly lurking in the shadows when she goes one-on-one with an irate Shayna Baszler, who is hellbent on teaching Little Miss Bliss a lesson.
