Kaizer Chiefs star Siphesihle Ndlovu has urged the Glamour Boys to maintain their level of focus heading into their next Betway Premiership encounter against Richards Bay at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Amakhosi will enter their next league assignment sitting in second position on the log after seeing out a 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns during matchday three.
Prior to their match against the reigning African champions, Chiefs opened their Betway Premiership account with a 3-1 away win over Kruger United on 1 August before noting an impressive 2-0 home victory against Sekhukhune United thereafter.
Richards Bay on the other hand, are winless in their start to the campaign as they occupy 11th on the log after three games played.
The Natal Rich Boyz suffered a 2-1 loss against Polokwane City in their opening day fixture before noting consecutive draws alongside Chippa United and Durban City respectively.
WHAT WAS SAID
In reflection of Chiefs’ next tie, Ndlovu expressed that Richards Bay will be motivated to get a result against the Soweto giants and called for his teammates to apply ‘total’ commitment in Durban on Wednesday.
“I think it is easy to put in a good performance against our big rivals because we understand the type of opponents we are facing and the type of game they play,” Ndlovu said.
“It is when we play other teams who are extra motivated to play us that we have to give equal focus as when we play the top teams. It is up to us as players to ensure we perform to the best of our abilities with total commitment.”

Richards Bay: Sanele Barns – In search of their first win of the league season, Barns will be counted on to produce the goods as a senior member of the squad. The 29-year-old is known for his goal creating abilities, while his movement in the final third could disturb Chiefs’ rest defence.
Kaizer Chiefs: Siphesihle Ndlovu – After recording a sensational assist for Langelihle Phili during their 1-1 draw with Downs, Ndlovu will no doubt be eager to maintain his positive start to the season as he navigates his side’s attacking department between the lines.
