Oliver Bearman, who shone for Haas in sprint qualifying on Friday, will continue to replace Kevin Magnussen for the rest of the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, the team confirmed on Friday.

The 19-year-old Briton, who qualified 10th for Saturday's sprint race, was called in to deputise for the Dane who was ill initially for the sprint part of the weekend's programme.

In a statement, the team said it can "confirm that Kevin Magnussen will not compete in the grand prix and Oliver Bearman will race for the team for the remainder of the weekend."

The decision means that the British teenager, who is a Ferrari junior driver, is set to take part in his third Grand Prix this year.

He replaced Carlos Sainz at Ferrari at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix after the Spaniard had appendicitis and stood in for Magnussen in Azerbaijan.
