Paul Butler and Jonas Sultan meet for interim belt

Paul Butler was originally scheduled to challenge John Riel Casimero for the WBO bantamweight belt at King’s Dock, Port of Liverpool, in the United Kingdom on Friday night, but the fight was called off when Casimero violated the British Boxing Board of Control medical policy by using a sauna to reduce weight.
Butler will now meet Filipino Jonas Sultan for the WBO interim bantamweight belt.
The 33-year-old Butler (33-2; 15) from Cheshire in the United Kingdom is on a seven-fight winning streak and in his most recent fight won the vacant WBO International bantamweight title on a split ten-round points decision over Willibaldo Garcia (12-4-1).

Sultan, 30, has compiled a record of 18-5; 11 and won two of his last three fights inside the distance.
In October last year he won the vacant WBO Intercontinental bantamweight title on a unanimous point’s decision against Carlos Caraballo.
Both fighters have a similar style, with Butler the betting favourite.
The other main organisation champions are WBC, Nonito Donaire and WBA super and IBF, Naoya Inoue.
Butler is rated at No 1 by the WBO and Sultan is not listed.
