In what was a poor fight, Regis “Rougarou” Prograis retained the WBC lightweight title against late replacement Danielito Zorrilla of Puerto Rico on a 12-round split decision at the Smoothie Centre in New Orleans, LA.

Zorrilla replaced Australia’s Liam Paro, who withdrew from the fight due to an injury.

Near the end of the first round a right hand from Zorrilla sent Prograis to the canvas but, Prograis held on to Zorilla as he rushed in and grabbed him in a tackle. However, the referee ruled it a push.
