Afghanistan win toss and bat in third ODI
Afghanistan captain, Hashmatullah Shahidi, won the toss and chose to bat first in the third and final one-day international against South Africa in the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
South Africa made one change to the team which was thrashed by 177 runs in the second match on Friday, with allrounder Andile Phehlukwayo replacing fast bowler Nandre Burger while the ‘home’ side made three changes, having already clinched the inaugural series between the teams 2-0, with today’s game to come.
Bowlers Fareed Malik and Naveed Zadran replace Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqi while Abdul Malik will open the batting in place of Riaz Hassan.
South Africa lost the first game on Wednesday by six wickets after choosing to bat first and being bowled out for just 106.
