Dikwena Tsa Meetse claimed their first-ever victory in the top local top-flight when they edged out Lamontville Golden Arrows 1-0 away on Thursday courtesy of Wonderboy Makhubu's late goal.
The victory snapped Magesi's four-match winless run across all competitions and they are currently placed 12th on the Betway Premiership standings with three points from three games.
Royal, on the other hand, remain undefeated in the current league campaign, but they are also winless having drawn 0-0 with Richards Bay at home in the Limpopo Derby encounter on Tuesday.
Thwihli Thwahla are unbeaten in their last five matches in the league having registered four draws and one victory, and they are occupying the 11th spot on the Betway Premiership with three points from three games.
TEAM NEWS
Magesi and Royal have no suspension worries coming into this matchday four league encounter and they are yet to report injuries in their camps.
WHAT WAS SAID?
Magesi FC head coach Clinton Larsen
"As a technical team, it is our job to try our best to get the best out of the players, it is a work in progress. It is important we start putting points on the board," Larsen said.
"So that we can keep the pressure off the players because the first people who feel the pressure are the players. So yeah, there is a lot of work ahead of us."
Royal AM head coach John Maduka
“These boys are working hard, and we motivate them and make them understand the importance of becoming a team because if they are a team, it’s going to be very difficult to break them,” Maduka said.
“You can have very good players but not a team, but you can have average players. “It helps a lot (that they’ve been together for several seasons). When you play together for a long time, the understanding is easy.”
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Wonderboy Makhubu, Magesi FC: The 27-year-old attacker was Dikwena Tsa Meetse's hero against Arrows by scoring the winning goal and he will carry the team's hopes of overcoming Royal.
Sera Motebang, Royal AM: The Lesotho international scored Thwihli Thwahla's only goal in the current season which came against Cape Town City and he could be the player to inspire the team to win over Magesi.
