World Sports Betting Western Province are gearing up for the fourth round of the CSA T20 Challenge as they travel to DP World Wanderers.

The World Sports Betting’s Newlands based side will face the DP World Lions on Sunday 17 March 2024.

The match is set to start at 14:00. You can catch the live match through the SuperSport YouTube page.

Salieg Nackerdien's charges are currently sitting in third position on the standings with 13 points.

Province comes into the match on a high after winning by four runs at home against Auto Investments Dragons on Wednesday.

Left Arm Spinner Kyle Simmonds believes the all-round effort has got them to a point of putting close games in their favour.

"I think we had a good score on Wednesday, but what our bowlers have done to get us over the line has made a statement in the competition so far,” he said.

“Durban had a similar situation and we’ve spoken about good teams being able to cross the line in the pressure moments and we’ve stood up to those moments.”

It will be the first time the two teams meet each other since the CSA 4-Day Series final last month where the Lions came up victorious.

Simmonds believes facing the Lions is always a match to look forward to, not only for the players but spectators too.

"It is the big one on the road, we are going back to where we last played our 4-Day Series final,” he said.

“They are not an easy team, we know that, but we come off the back of the three wins, the team is in a good position, we are motivated, and I believe Lions are in for a big surprise on Sunday.

“Currently, we have a good batting order and an outstanding bowling force, the execution on the day will be the key. We are very focused, it showed in the last three games, we stuck to our game plan, and I believe Sunday won't be any different."

Batter and wicketkeeper Daniel Smith has been added to the travelling squad for Joburg after Jono Bird was ruled out due to an injury he sustained against Dragons.

Travelling Squad:

Kyle Verreynne (c), Abdullah Bayoumy, Beuran Hendricks (vc), Daniel Smith, David Bedingham, Eddie Moore, George Linde, Kyle Simmonds, Mihlali Mpongwana, Mthiwekhaya Nabe, Onke Nyaku, Tony De Zorzi, Wayne Parnell.
