No result in second T20I between South Africa and Bangladesh
The second T20I between South Africa and Bangladesh at the Kimberley Oval in Kimberley was abandoned after just eight deliveries due to rain and lightning.
Bangladesh were on seven for one with Murshida Khatun on two and Sobhana Mostary yet to score.
South Africa earlier won the toss and elected to field. Laura Wolvaardt was back to resume her captain’s duties after her stint with the Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League in Australia.
Nonkululeko Mlaba struck early for the Proteas when Sinalo Jafta took a comfortable catch behind the wickets to get rid of Shamima Sultana for three (5b).
South Africa lost the first match on Sunday at Willowmoore Park in Benoni by 13 runs.
The third and final match in the series is on Friday, also in Kimberley.
