Pitso Mosimane secures new job

The United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda announced on Saturday that Pitso Mosimane would become the new head coach of the team following his departure from Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.
As a result of Mosimane's leadership, Ahli returned to the Saudi Pro League with four games left to play, having taken over the reins when the club was sitting seventh in the league standings when he was appointed.
"Al Wahda FC Company has signed with the South African Technical Director Pitso Mosimane to lead the first team as a Head Coach. The Club’s Board of Directors welcomes Mr Mosimane to the Home of Champion; wishing him the success in serving the club’s leadership, administration and fans ambitions," the club said in statement.

Founded in 1974, Wahda is based in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi and completed the 2022/2023 season with a third position in the recently concluded Pro League.
Mosimane has a lot to do to restore Wahda's glory days, the last time they won the league title was in 2009/2010 and the club also made the runners-up position on two occasions, in 2017/2018 and 2013/2014.
Over the years Wahda have clinched two League Cups and three Super Cups, In 2021/2022 they also lifted the President Cup.
It is worth mentioning that Mosimane holds 19 trophies to his name, including three CAF Champions League titles (two with Al Ahly and one with Sundowns)
