SA coach Morena Ramoreboli completed back-to-back league wins after his Botswana side, Jwaneng Galaxy, were crowned Premier League champions on Saturday in a 1-0 win over Orapa United, a team they’ll face again in the final of the Orange FA Cup.

Galaxy went into the final day sitting on 62 points, with Township Rollers and Gaborone United breathing down their necks on 61 and 60 points, respectively.

Stars went into Saturday's fixtures having dropped points, picking up only 2 points out of a possible 6, and only a victory would give them the championship.

Galaxy finished the league with 65 points, which is a point less than when they won the title in the 22/23 season. Township Rollers beat TAFIC FC 1-0, while Gaborone United beat Holy Ghost 3-1. The results, however, were not enough to help both sides leapfrog Jwaneng Galaxy from becoming champions of the 2023/24 season.

Coach Morena’s side became the 1st team from Botswana to reach the group stages of the CAF championship leagues after they knocked out, South African giants Orlando Pirates earlier in the season.

The mining town side now have another shot at the CAF Champions League. Last season's appearance marked the second time the Galaxy Stars had reached the group stage in the Champions League competition.

There were moments of triumph, notably when Galaxy soared to the top after securing their first away victory against Moroccan giants, Wydad AC.

Coach Morena has also been called upon to coach Bafana Bafana previously at the Cosafa cup
