CM PUNK & DREW MCTINTYRE STRAP UP FOR BERLIN

At WWE Bash in Berlin, CM Punk will once again go to war with Drew McIntyre in a highly personal Strap Match.

When Punk returned to WWE only to suffer an injury in the 2024 Royal Rumble Match, McIntyre said that he prayed for it to happen and mercilessly mocked Punk for being injured. His actions, however, would have consequences.

At WrestleMania XL, Punk was at ringside when McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth "Freakin" Rollins. After the bell, however, a post-match confrontation between The Scottish Psychopath and The Second City Saint helped limit McIntyre’s reign to mere minutes as it paved the way for Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and defeat McIntyre to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Punk then cost McIntyre a title opportunity the following Monday night in a No. 1 Contender’s Match on Raw and interfered in McIntyre's World Heavyweight Title Match against Priest at WWE Clash at the Castle. An irate McIntyre fired back by pretending to quit WWE, then unleashing a brutal beatdown of Punk on SmackDown and stealing a bracelet that represented Punk’s love for his wife and dog.

McIntyre won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and inserted himself into the World Heavyweight Title Match between Priest and Rollins on the same night, only to have Punk cost him the match one more time.

When the two finally squared off in a highly anticipated showdown at SummerSlam, McIntyre emerged victorious over Punk after an altercation between The Second City Saint and Rollins, the Special Guest Referee.

After Punk whipped McIntyre with his own belt on the 12 August edition of Raw, a Strap Match was made. It will be a brutal showdown with the two Superstars tied together and free to use the strap to do as much damage as possible.
