SuperSport United winger Aubrey Modiba will be out for at least two weeks after hurting his hamstring in their opening game of the season at the weekend.

Modiba had to leave the pitch in the first half of the Absa Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns at Atteridgeville after injurying himself in an attacking move that almost saw Bradley Grobler equalise.

Modiba’s exit was a blow to their chances, said coach Kaitano Tembo afterwards, as Sundowns won 2-0 in the Tshwane derby.

Modiba had the hamstring examined after the game and has been told to rest up for a couple of weeks.

Fortuitously for SuperSport, they do not have a game this weekend. They next play Orlando Pirates on Wednesday, August 14, also at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
