Olde Riekerink is named new Cape Town City coach
Jan Olde Riekerink was on Wednesday confirmed as Cape Town City coach, just hours before the team play against Polokwane City in the Absa Premiership.
The Dutchman, 56, comes with a considerable pedigree, having worked as assistant manager of Ajax Amsterdam for seven years from 1995 to 2002, then at Ghent in Belgium, with the Ajax reserve side in the Dutch second division and at Turkish giants Galatasaray from 2016 to 2017.
He also had a spell in China where he coached the junior national teams
His last job was at SC Heerenveen in the top flight of Dutch football last season.

McCarthy’s assistant, Vasili Manousakis, is in charge on Wednesday against Polokwane, where City are looking for only their second win of the season.
