Gordinho completes Wits switch
Defender Lorenzo Gordinho has completed his switch from Kaizer Chiefs to BidVest Wits, signing a two-and-a-half year deal with The Clever Boys.
Gordinho has struggled for game-time at Naturena this season, making just a single start, and will be given the opportunity to reignite his career with coach Gavin Hunt at Wits.
The 25-year-old spent seven years in the Chiefs first team, while also having an 12-month loan spell at Bloemfontein Celtic.
He will provide competition to regular Wits central defensive pair of Thulani Hlatshwayo and Buhle Mkhwanazi, along with Togolese centre-back Joseph Douhadji, who is also a recent recruit.
Gordinho could make his debut for Wits when they face his old side Celtic on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Chiefs have also announced they have parted ways with Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei, who arrived at the start of the season but leaves without kicking a ball in anger.
