Chiefs and Royal AM bag important victories
Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM headlined Saturday's list of DStv Premiership fixtures after recording important victories against Richards Bay and Sekhukhune United respectively.
Amakhosi travelled to the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday afternoon and faced a tricky test in the form of the Natal Rich Boys. The Soweto giants hit the ground running and created numerous goal scoring opportunities from the get go.
Chiefs took the lead early on, with Siyabonga Ngezana getting his name on the scoresheet in the 8th minute. In a moment that changed the complexion of the game, Salim Magoola received his marching orders in the 19th minute as the home team struggled to get into the game after being reduced to 10 men.

Elsewhere, Royal AM hosted Sekhukhune United at the Chatsworth Stadium, as the popular club bagged maximum points in a 2-0 scoreline.
John Maduka and company took the pragmatic approach and utilised their counter-attacking qualities efficiently. Goals in each half by Thabo Matlaba and Ruzaigh Gamildien was enough for Royal AM to claim maximum points.
Over at the Harry Gwala Stadium, Cape Town City walked away with maximum points following their 2-1 win over Maritzburg United. The travelling outfit battled to get into the game and were made to work for their points at the popular football ground.
Bradley Cross opened the scoring for Martizburg in the 53rd minute, while a quick fire double by Mduduzi Mdantsane and Khanyisa Mayo gave City the all-important three points.
