Sekhukhune sign Sundowns midfielder Mkhize
Sekhukhune United have added midfielder Siphesihle Mkhize to their squad for the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season as they look to build on their successful last campaign.
Mkhize arrives from Mamelodi Sundowns, where he made just a single start, but has been on loan at Chippa United in the previous two years and impressed. He also had a spell on loan at Ajax Cape Town (now Cape Town Spurs) in the second-tier.
The 24-year-old is the latest new signing for Sekhukhune, who have also brought in Tiklas Thutlwa (Black Leopards), Mbhazima Rikhotso (Royal AM), Jamie Webber (SuperSport United), Renaldo Leaner (Maritzburg United) and Thabang Mnyembane (Dondol Stars).
Sekhukhune finished seventh in the DStv Premiership last season and also reached the final of the Nedbank Cup, where they lost to Orlando Pirates.
They open their 2023/24 season with a home match against Mkhize’s old team Sundowns on August 4.
