Hunt bounces back at Chippa
Gavin Hunt has been appointed as the new coach of Chippa United in a quick bounce back into the game, it was announced on Wednesday.
The 56-year-old signed a contract with Chippa but there were no details given on his duration at the Gqeberha-based club, who only saved their DStv Premiership status in the end of season promotion-relegation playoff.
It means Hunt will continue his extraordinary run as a coach in the top flight of South African football, having been involved with a top league club continuously since 1998-99 and winning league titles with SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits.
He was fired by Kaizer Chiefs last month after a miserable season with the AmaKhosi. Chippa will be his eighth since started with Seven Stars.
Chippa United Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Gavin Hunt as the Club’s new Head Coach.
