Zambia duo sign for Sekhukhune

Sekhukhune United have completed the signing of Zambia duo Toaster Nsabata and Mwila Phiri, according to the players’ former club ZESCO United.

Goalkeeper Nsabata and left-back Phiri have linked up with the newly-promoted DStv Premiership side ahead of the new season.

“ZESCO United second-choice goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata has joined South African Premier League promoted side Sekhukhune United after the former reached an agreement with the Zambian Super League champions,” ZESCO said in a statement.

“ZESCO United have further released club left back Mwila Phiri, with the latter having remained with two months on his contract. Phiri has since joined Nsabata at Sekhukhune, ending his two years and eight months stay at ZESCO United.”

Both are Zambian internationals and are part of a squad overhaul at Sekhukhune as they begin life as a top-flight side for the first time.
