Following a run of five consecutive draws, SuperSport United will now turn their attention to TS Galaxy, with the two sides set to do battle at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 8:00pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)

Current form

Mtsatsantsa head into their next game on the back of a frustrating 2-2 draw against Golden Arrows earlier this week. Leading by two goals until the 70th minute, second-half efforts by Lungelo Nguse and Gladwin Shitolo saw Abafana Bes’Thende rescue a point at the Mpumalanga Stadium.

Prior to the result against Arrows, SuperSport recorded five draws on the trot and currently occupy 5th position on the log as a result of their recent run of form.

Galaxy on the other hand, managed to pick up three wins in their last five encounters while recording one loss and a single defeat during this period.

The Rockets also recorded back-to-back victories against AmaZulu and Royal AM in two of their most recent league games respectively and in turn, moved up to 7th position on the league table.

What was said?

“We are playing draws,” SSU coach Gavin Hunt said regarding his side’s recent run of form.

“We have not won but there is nothing we can do but to keep going.”

“This is where we have to improve [scoring goals], where we want to improve and where we have they joy,” TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic said.

“We want to come on this stage that every small chance, every half chance that we can and this is the goal of course.”

Players to watch:

SuperSport United: Shandre Campbell – Campbell was one of SSU’s top performers during their 2-2 draw with Arrows earlier this week as he continues to shine as an emerging talent in South African football. Galaxy will have to pay keen attention to the 18-year-old’s ball carrying skills, particularly in the final third where he often looks to cause damage.

TS Galaxy: Samir Nurkovic – The Serbian currently has seven league goals to his name this season and has been Ramovic’s main point of reference in attack. Tied in third place for goals scored in the league, Nurkovic will be eager to increase his tally this weekend.
