Hawassa pile misery on Hambericho, Fasil and Adama goalless

Hawassa City beat Hambericho 1-0 at the Dire Dawa International Stadium on Friday to pile more misery on the Ethiopian Premier League's bottom club. 

Fasil Kenema drew 0-0 with Adama City in the day's other game.

Hambericho will feel hard done by as they had looked good when they managed to keep their opponents goalless at halftime.

They managed to stave off Hawassa's attacks for much of the second half until a defensive error inadvertently cost them dearly.

Hawassa piled on the pressure, but they got help from Hambericho's Dink Kiyar whose own goal in the 79th minute gave them the lead.

The goal proved to be the winner for the Lakers and the win moves them above Sidama Coffee into 10th place.

Hambericho remain bottom of the log with eight points,  five points behind Shashemene City in 15th.

They are eight points behind Wolkite in the last relegation place of 14th and, even worse, they are 14 points behind Ethiopian Insurance in the comfort zone of 13th place.
