St George held by Adama, Hambericho and Hadiya goalless

St George's 100 per cent BetKing Ethiopian Premier League win record came to an end on Friday when they shared the spoils with Adama City in a 2-2 draw.

Newly promoted Hambericho Durame and Hadiya Hossana, meanwhile, have yet to win this season and their winless run extended to four games when they played out a goalless draw.

Adama City opened their goalscoring account early in the game with former St George star Hayder Sherafa giving Adama a 1-0 lead on 12 minutes.

The second half was a roaring affair when Adama went 2-0 up with William Solomon on target in the 54th minute.

St George were stunned and they tried everything in their power to salvage the game. It took another 11 minutes before they pulled one back.

Tegenu Teshome found the back of the net for St George in the 65th to narrow the gap.

'The Horsemen' pressed on for an equaliser as Adama tried to hold on for the win but St George finally got their breakthrough in the 82nd minute.

Moses Odo scored the equaliser for St George on 82 minutes to rescue a point for his side.
