St George face Adama, Hadiya host Hambericho
Friday is the second day for week 19 fixtures in the Ethiopian Premier League with Adama City at home to defending champions St George and Hadiya Hossana taking on Hambericho in the second game of the day.
St George have designs on a return to the top of the table after being displaced by Mekelakeya on Thursday.
Adama City have only managed to win a third of their games this season.
However, they did win big last week, a massive 3-0 win over Hambericho after failing to win in their previous four matches.
Adama lie seventh in the table with 27 points and are now expected to play to win this game to improve their ranking.
They do have their work cut out with an opponent like St George, one of the in-form clubs flying high in the league.
The Horsemen have posted 12 points in their last four games and three of them were with clean sheets.
They were a bit handicapped by the loss of a few important players in the summer transfer window especially their top scorer, Abel Yalew, who moved to ZED FC of Egypt in the middle of the season.
However, they have found goals in another striker, Ammanuel Erbo, who has proven quite a good replacement with high expectations for the coming seasons.
The match between the two teams in the first round ended in a 2-2 draw.
The second schedule of the day starts at 7pm and will connect Hadiya Hosaina with Hambericho Durame.
Hadiya Hossana were able to write an amazing story, undefeated in 16 games in a row in the league, but they only won four of those, drawing 12 games.
Hadiya have also conceded the least number of goals in the league (11).
Hambericho Durame are still struggling and continue their journey trying to stay alive in the league.
Hambericho have only won one of their 18 games, which is why they are in 16th place and bottom of the log with 7 points.
